What to easily organize this spring based on your Zodiac sign – it'll turbocharge decluttering and banish motivation blockers
Aligning your decluttering mission with your star sign will maximize efficiency, astrologers say

With the arrival of balmier spring weather comes a new chapter for your star sign. Decluttering according to your zodiac will have you feeling inspired and motivated, our astrologers reveal.
Here, alongside professional organizers, our experts reveal the first area of the home each star sign should organize this spring – a recipe for surefire success.
It's a great way to start spring decluttering, especially if you usually find this task hard to begin.
Aries (March 21st - April 19th)
Seasonal decluttering is for you right now, Aries.
Spring is the perfect time for an Aries to declutter their closet and piece together some new, feel-good seasonal outfits.
Rebecca Gordon, a professional astrologer based in New York City, says, 'Aries is the star of the show this spring with a Solar Eclipse in Aries lifting you into greater visibility. You will want a closet refresh with 3-5 show-stoppers easily accessible. Organize that closet.'
To get your closet spring-ready, professional organizer and founder of Oh, So Organized!, Linda Samuels, recommends beginning by putting away your seasonals so you can better navigate your closet space.
'To get your closet ready for spring, begin by removing darker, heavier clothing to make space for lighter, more colorful seasonal pieces,' says Linda. 'I recommend storing your off-season clothing in a separate closet, an empty dresser, under the bed in containers, or another dry storage area using labeled boxes.'
If don't have seasonal storage, the simple under bed box with wheels from The Container Store will neatly tuck away your winter clothing without creating more visual clutter in your home.
Di Ter Avest, professional organizer and owner of Di Is Organized, suggests taking extra time to organize what you leave in your closet so it's easy to see and enjoyable. 'Whether you're folding or hanging the items you love in a way that makes them easy to see and access or using bins, drawer dividers, or shelf organizers to keep things tidy, go the extra mile with closet organization ideas to make your closet somewhere enjoyable to use.'

Taurus (April 20th - May 20th)
Supercharge your reading nook, Taurus readers, so it's as tempting to sink into as this one.
For Taurus' like myself, the beginning of spring marks a contemplative chapter in life where it's vital to cultivate a quiet space of meditation and/or comfort within the home. This can look different for everyone but what matters is that it brings you calm.
'Private time in meditation and contemplation will be key this spring as your new perspectives open new horizons for your future,' says Rebecca. 'Tidy up or clear out a little nook in your space and invest in a meditation cushion or items that bring you peace.'
To create this space for yourself and make your home more relaxing, first establish whether you wish to devote an entire room or part of a room for tranquility. Then, begin to get organized.
'First, clear the area you selected by relocating items that can go elsewhere,' says Linda. 'Then, transform the space by adding some calming additions such as a small rug or yoga mat, meditation cushion, cozy throw blanket, live plants, water feature, candle, and a journal. If space is limited, use a grab-and-go basket filled to fill with calming tools that can be stored away in a closet and set up anywhere when needed.'
The Mainstays basket with removable liner from Walmart is a discreet, small basket ideal for storing your personal items of calm. When the inside needs a clean, pop it in the washer on a cool wash and air dry.
There's no better place to sit and reflect than on a cozy rug. This one from Wayfair is soft and stain resistant, and its neutral color won't disrupt the rest of your space. There are multiple sizes and designs available.

Gemini (May 21st - June 20th)
Start by organizing your crockery and silverware, Geminis.
If you're a Gemini, spring is the season to go bolder and bigger, being unafraid to take up space and enjoy an abundance of time with the people you love in your home. Due to this, you may wish to spruce up your silverware or thoroughly organize your kitchen crockery and silverware.
'Lucky Jupiter spends its final months in Gemini this spring, so you will want to go big as this happens only once every 12 years,' says Rebecca. 'Host garden parties, salon nights, teas, and give your dishware and table sets a refresh of inspiration.'
Elana Mendelson, CEO of Elana Designs and luxury interior designer, suggests investing in the likes of drawer inserts and shelf risers [both available in abundance on the Container Store] to make your kitchenware more accessible as well as visible.
She says, 'If you're feeling inspired by the energy of spring and Jupiter in Gemini, it’s the perfect time to refresh your kitchen and ensure your hosting essentials are beautifully organized. Drawer inserts and organizers are extremely helpful in keeping those small spaces tidy. For larger utensils, deep organizers or peg boards inside drawers keep everything accessible.'
Elana particularly recommends using expandable bamboo dividers to organize kitchen drawers as they can perfectly fit into any drawer. The Pipishell Bamboo Expandable Drawer Organizer from Amazon is very popular and comes in three different colors to suit your kitchen's aesthetic.
This cookware organizer will become your best friend as it keeps everything in one easy-to-grab-for location and was the perfect pots and pans storage solution for our content editor Chiana Dickson.

Cancer (June 21st - July 22nd)
Cancer signs are exiting a long Pluto cycle, truly stepping into a new chapter of rebirth and light. In line with this, spring is the ideal time for Cancer's to focus on bringing lighter shades into their bedroom and more forms of bedroom lighting to rest and recharge around. Declutter the old and reorganize your pre-existing lighting to be in the most optimal spaces.
Jessica Adams, psychic astrologer, says, 'You’ll want a lighter, brighter bedroom in spring 2025 as you emerge from the intensity of your partnerships 2008-2024 and out of a long Pluto cycle. In come candles, twinkle lights, sheer window coverings to let more sunlight in, and white or pale bed linen.'
Di recommends reshuffling your mirrors and moving any unnecessary items from your windowsill to help optimize natural lighting in a small bedroom. 'Placing a mirror across the room from a window can reflect light and make the room feel even brighter, and a decluttered windowsill will help to remove any clutter-induced weight in the room's ambiance.'
I personally can't imagine my bedroom without fairy lights. I switch them on every evening to relax while I journal, and the ambiance can't be beat!
There's nothing more beautiful than the thought of the sunrise or sunset trickling through a semi-sheer curtain. Golden, beautiful light will flood your home.

Leo (July 23rd - August 22nd)
Dust off your suitcase, Leos, as adventure awaits
For Leo's, spring 2025 is the season of exploration, whether it's exploring new countries or new places within the place you already live. It's time to blow the dust off of your travel bags and suitcases you have stored and give them a good sprucing if they still contain items from your past adventures.
'It’s your travel year, so look forward to exotic shores with inspiring travel gear,' says Rebecca. 'Your past luggage may require a spring upgrade from the old beauty bags and suitcases.'
Heather Aiello, professional organizer and owner of The Organized You, breaks down a step by step process on how to organize your luggage for a future of fun travels. 'The first step is to assess your spring travel needs so you know what type of luggage or bag you will bring with you. Check the condition of these bags and give them a quick clean and purge if needed.
'Then, if you're packing now, I recommend using packing cubes to store all your spring layers and save space. They're game-changers for staying tidy when you're living from a suitcase.'
These Large Packing Cubes for Travel 5pc from Amazon are a lightweight, practical choice that allows you to color coordinate which items are packed in which cube.
Virgo (August 23rd - September 22nd)
Your first task this spring if you're a Virgo is to focus on your outdoor space, whether that's a garden or balcony garden. Invest time into organizing any decor you own, including hanging baskets, and reset the space in a way that brings a new sense of sanctuary to the atmosphere.
'You will create a tiny escape within a larger garden with real passion this spring or make a small space on your apartment balcony (even window boxes on high-rise ledges) into something magical,' says Jessica. 'The trellis, wind chimes, vertical plants, hanging baskets or tubs of water lilies take you away. You’re looking for a little sanctuary.'
To begin organizing your balcony, Di suggests first gathering all of your decor and grouping it into categories. 'Grouping similar items together, such as planters, lanterns, or cushions can help to create a cohesive look.'
Then, once items are grouped, you can zone your yard and place your items around the space to see if anything is missing. If you're looking to add something more to the scene, Di recommends considering a small water feature or fairy lights. These add another peaceful, sensory element to any natural space.
The Alpine Corporation Outdoor Rustic 2-Tiered Barrel and Pump from Amazon comes in two different designs and doesn't take up a lot of room, even in a small garden. Combine one of those with these Solar Lantern Outdoor Hanging Lights, also from Amazon, and your green space will be irresistibly appealing.
This duo of hanging baskets is perfect for beginners to create a matching set in their yard.

Libra (September 23rd - October 22nd)
Spring is about elevating your comfort and making your bed into somewhere you really don't want to leave. Whether you're having a lay-in on the weekend or sitting up watching TV in the evening there with your partner, take extra care in making the space feel super cozy.
'Spring is the time to organize your bed and nightstands to elevate the mood of your bedroom from cluttered to comfy,' says Rebecca. 'You may want to invest in the best bedsheets and pillows that make you want to linger forever on a lazy Sunday.'
It may sound like a small way to start, but don't underestimate the power of simply making and organizing your bed every day. Doing this one task can not only help to set the tone for the rest of the day ahead, but also make your bedroom look and feel more put together.
'Making the bed instantly makes a bedroom feel more put together and inviting,' says Di. If you're looking to go the extra mile, fluff up your pillows and display your favorite soft furnishings.
A good night's sleep is mere moments away with this supportive but soft pillow. If you're looking to step up your bedding, a comfortable pillow is a great place to start.
Scorpio (October 23rd - November 21st)
Scorpios, this is the best time for you to tackle that home maintenance list
Before you embark on any other spring tasks, you need to organize your to-do list of spring home maintenance tasks and potential renovations. All those lingering fixes, from a leaky tap to an annoying squeaky door, noting them down is one of the habits of highly organized homeowners.
'You are in a major Pluto cycle for total renovation, overdue home repairs or even relocation,' says Jessica. 'The household or family is also changing around you. This means dividing space differently to cater for them. In come screens and shelves. Heavy drapes to screen off a room or perhaps a guest sofa bed.'
Di believes that starting with home fixes and renovations is an amazing way to kick off spring cleaning or a larger organizing project. 'In my book Organize Yourself Healthy (OYH), this is actually one of the very first steps when tackling any space. I recommend writing down your goals and expectations for each space to help organize your tasks as well as your mindset. Prioritize urgent fixes, then plan bigger renovations or changes based on your needs and budget.'
If you're someone who prefers old fashioned pen and paper when it comes to planning, we recommend investing in some form of to-do list. I like pads such as the Pen+Gear List Pads Pack of 2 from Walmart because they're plain and not too rigid for my planning. But if you thrive with a structured organizer, the Hallmark Note Pad Weekly Planner from Walmart may be a better fit.
This simple planner is set up and ready to jot down your to-dos for the week ahead. Once you're done, tear off the top layer and get cracking with the next list.
Sagittarius (November 22nd - December 21st)
If you work from home or have a study that you've neglected, this is the optimum starting point, Sagittarius.
Sagittarius signs are in their career era, so total focus on organizing your working space to suit your needs is the best way to set yourself up for success this spring.
'It’s all about your home office in 2025 – or turning your regular office into a homey space,' says Jessica. 'Your horoscope shows important new roles, goals or projects, so work has to encourage passion.'
Ben Soreff, professional organizer and partner at House to Home Organizing, says, 'We want clear surfaces and projects put away to create an organized home office. When you are not working on a project, put all the materials away and keep only what you're working on out. Additionally, most people have an excessive amount of supplies. Keep only what you reasonably use during a given week out, and the rest should live more remotely. You can even consider donating extra supplies to a school or community center.'
These plastic storage bins with handles from The Container Store are perfect for organizing paperwork at home. Whether you're seeking to tuck surplus pens away into a drawer or onto a shelf or organize your desk, these minimalistic storage pieces will improve functionality and won't create a distraction in your workspace.

If you work from home or spend a lot of time in your study, this set of drawers on wheels will come in handy when organizing your important documents.
Capricorn (December 22nd - January 19th)
Capricorns should tackle the kitchen first to get their motivation flowing.
If you're a Capricorn, your primary organizing focus this spring should be your kitchen. It's considered to be the heart of the home, so bringing an increased sense of order to the space will benefit your soul and mind. This is especially helpful if you often feel overwhelmed when decluttering or tidying up.
'All planets align in the base of your chart, which is the kitchen in your home, signaling that this is your year to focus on your kitchen, whether that's through deep organization, replacing old cookware or embarking on renovations,' says Rebecca.
Millie Naor, professional organizer and owner of Bella Organizers, recommends organizing your kitchen in a way that purposefully aligns with your needs and lifestyle. This way, you'll be optimizing the entire space for efficiency.
'As you organize, think about your daily routines and things you use the most,' says Millie. 'For example, If you start each morning with coffee, set up a dedicated coffee station or kitchen cabinet so everything is in one place. If cereal is a breakfast staple in your home, designate a shelf in your pantry for cereal, oatmeal, and other morning essentials. Always keep the flow of your kitchen in mind—arrange things so they’re easy to grab and where you naturally reach for them. When your kitchen is organized to fit your lifestyle, cooking, meal prep, and everyday tasks become so much more efficient.'
Glass food jars such as this one are amazing for creating a uniform pantry where food items are in sight and in mind. Plus, the aluminum lids make them airtight.
This marble lazy Susan is absolutely stunning as well as functional. You could even display it on a countertop. Marble is porous, so avoid harsh chemicals when cleaning.
Most of us have lots of items stored under the sink (myself included), so having one of these would make life so much easier and help your cleaning supplies organized.
Aquarius (January 20th - February 18th)
If you find it hard to declutter sentimental items, Aquarius, now's the best time to give it another go.
The sign of Aquarius should turn their attention to organizing sentimental items this spring, seeking to display what makes them feel nostalgic and happy. Let go of items that bring you negative emotions and lean into the positive, and place what evokes good feelings around your home.
'Your 2025 direction is towards comfort, security, familiarity and the past,' says Jessica. 'This will help you to get your bearings after the most unpredictable cycle in years.'
Keren Gava, professional organizer and founder of Organize It SF, says, 'As a forward-thinking sign, you often prioritize innovation over nostalgia, but taking time to revisit sentimental items such as old letters, photographs and keepsakes is something emotionally valuable. Sort through your collection, let go of what no longer serves you, and find creative ways to display or store your cherished memories.'
To begin organizing your sentimental items, it's easiest to gather them all together and sort them by type: ornaments, papers and photos. Then, from there, you can decide what you wish to display around your home and what to place carefully back into storage.
A photo album is a great way to organize your photos to flick through whenever you feel like dipping into your memories. This one holds 200 4"x6" pictures.
Pisces (February 19th - March 20th)
And lastly, if you're a Pisces, your first call for organizing is to focus on or create a space just for you and your possessions. This could be a vanity, organizing a bookshelf for your favorite reads, or perhaps making somewhere new.
'Your home is an experiment in freedom, space and new independence for you in 2025,' says Jessica. 'That means organizing your own territory, no matter if it’s just a bathroom cupboard filled exclusively with your collection, or even a new add-on.'
Di's main suggestion when seeking to organize this space is to do your best to keep it clutter-free. Wherever your new dedicated spot is, do your best to have the area only include what you truly love.
'This space should only house things that make you happy,' says Di. 'If you're displaying or storing many items that are smaller, sitting them on a rotating makeup organizer can save space as well as add style.'
This Rotating Makeup Organizer with 2 Tiers from Amazon features stunning green fluted glass as well as lots of room for your stuff.
This abstract floating shelf boasts lots of space as well as style. You could use it to store all of one item, or use each square to display a different collection of your things.
