Where to shop for Shark vacuum deals

Though Black Friday doesn't officially start till November 29, many brands and retailers have started launching site-wide sales across their huge product ranges.

I've spent hours finding all their deals so you don't have to. Use my Quick Links to see what's on offer either direct from Shark, or other major retailers:

Best Shark cordless vacuum deals

Shark vacuums are currently among the best cordless vacuums in the market. On test, our favorites are the Shark Cordless PowerDetect and the Shark Vertex Pro Lightweight, both worthy and affordable alternative to the expensive Dyson vacuums that tend to top our lists.

Shark Cordless Detect Pro Auto-Empty System | was $449.99, now $349.99 at Shark (save $100)

Shark Cordless Detect Pro Auto-Empty System | was $449.99, now $349.99 at Shark (save $100)

While it isn't the best cordless Shark vac we've tested, in our Shark Detect Pro review we were still impressed by its detection features, ease-of-use and how well the cleaning station worked. This is also the lowest price I've ever seen it, so it's the perfect chance for a cordless vacuum upgrade.

Shark Rocket Deluxe Pro | was $249.99, now $159.99 at Amazon (save $90)

Shark Rocket Deluxe Pro | was $249.99, now $159.99 at Amazon (save $90)

One of Shark's more affordable vacuums is now even cheaper at Amazon with a generous $90 discount.

The Shark Rocket is a corded stick vacuum, which isn't the most ideal for the mobility and freedom that a cordless stick typically offers. But by omitting a battery, you don't have to worry about running out of charge, and you still get the agility granted by a stick vacuum.

Best Shark upright vacuum deals

Shark Stratos Upright Vacuum

Shark's big selection of vacuum cleaners includes some of the best upright vacuums. Noteworthy mentions are the Shark POWERDETECT and the Shark Stratos Upright, which our expert testers found perform excellently on all floor types.

Editor's choice

Shark POWERDETECT | was $399, now $299 at Shark (save $100 with code POWER100)

The absolute best upright vacuum we've tested, the Shark POWERDETECT is one to look out for in the sales. It can clean dust, debris and hair in a single pass, regardless of the floor type, and it has automatic floor detection to maintain the optimal suction power.

You won't get a better vacuum at this price point.

Shark Stratos Upright | was $499, now $349 at Shark (save $150)

Shark Stratos Upright | was $499, now $349 at Shark (save $150)

The Shark Stratos is one of the best upright vacuums we've reviewed, even years after its release. It brings together some of Shark's most effective cleaning tech: powerful brushrolls, odor-neutralization, a lift-away detachable pod, and a HEPA filter.

Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe | was $199.99, now $159.99 at Home Depot and Amazon (save $40)

Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe | was $199.99, now $159.99 at Home Depot and Amazon (save $40)

The Shark Navigator is a longstanding classic upright vacuum from Shark that's still popular years after its release. We haven't tested this model but, on test, Shark is the best-performing vacuum brand for upright vacs, and I'm confident the Deluxe edition of the Navigator is a great addition for any home – particularly at this price.

You can also get the Shark Navigator in red peony for $179.99 at Amazon, reduced from $279.99.

Best Shark robot vacuum deals

Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Shark doesn't have the widest range of robot vacuums, but that hasn't stopped the global brand from being one of the most popular choices in the US. Shark's best robot vacuums include the Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1, that combines vacuuming and mopping, and the new Shark Detect Pro Robot.

Shark PowerDetect 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop | was $599.99, now $349.99 at Shark (save $250)
New release

Shark PowerDetect 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop | was $599.99, now $349.99 at Shark (save $250)

We haven't yet tested the PowerDetect robot vacuum, but it's the latest in Shark's lineups of robots, some of which we have tested (and were impressed by).

The PowerDetect can vacuum and mop your floors for you, promising to clean tough stains and hidden dirt. It can also blast air to push debris from the floor's edges and corners.

Shark Detect Pro Self-Empty Robot | was $599.99, now $349.99 at Walmart (save $250)

Shark Detect Pro Self-Empty Robot | was $599.99, now $349.99 at Walmart (save $250)

The Detect Pro is the second latest Shark robot, followed only by the Shark PowerDetect. It's able to move seamlessly across floor types, create maps of your home, and even blast air to push debris out of floor edges and corners.

Best Shark floor cleaner deals

Cleaning a carpet with the Shark CarpetXpert

One of Shark's big USPs is their selection of dedicated floor cleaners. They have carpet cleaners, stain removers and wet/dry vacuums that can tackle much more than a regular vacuum.

We've tested the Shark CarpetXpert and the Shark MessMaster – and both of them impressed our expert reviewers with their thoughtful feature sets and strong cleaning capabilities.

Shark HydroVac MessMaster Cordless | was $299.99, now $199.99 at Shark (save $100)

Shark HydroVac MessMaster Cordless | was $299.99, now $199.99 at Shark (save $100)

Most vacuum-mop combos can only tackle hard floors, but the HydroVac is also able to clean area rugs with its multi-surface floorhead. It pulls in dirt and debris while scrubbing your floors, leading to a floor that's actually cleaned, rather than simply vacuumed.

The corded version of the Shark HydroVac MessNaster is also on sale for $159.99 at Shark, down from $249.99.

Shark MessMaster Portable Wet/Dry Vacuum | was $129.99, now $88 at Walmart (save $41.99)

Shark MessMaster Portable Wet/Dry Vacuum | was $129.99, now $88 at Walmart (save $41.99)

In our review of the Shark MessMaster, our tester found it to be an almost-perfect product, capable of easily cleaning wet messes around the home. It's thoughtfully designed with features that are easy to use and genuinely useful, and you can even use it with bags to save yourself from touching whatever messes you're vacuuming.

Shark VACMOP | was $99.99, now $49 at Walmart (save $50.99)

Shark VACMOP | was $99.99, now $49 at Walmart (save $50.99)

If you're after a simple hard floor cleaner, the Shark VACMOP can spray mop your floors while vacuuming debris and liquids – and it's now on offer for just $49. It uses disposable mop pads that vacuum up the messes that other mop types might simply push around. It'll definitely help you mop your floors the right way.

My Shark vacuum deal tips and tricks

As H&G's home tech editor, I review and write about vacuum cleaners almost every day. I've also covered every major sale event since 2021, and in that time I've picked up a few things on how to secure the best deal when shopping for a Shark vacuum.

Shark have been in the vacuum market for a long – since 2007, in fact – and they've released a huge variety of models since then. So, when it comes to finding a vacuum deal in the sales, it can be tricky knowing which one is best.

The main thing is to do your research first. To help, start by reading our guide on how to choose the right vacuum cleaner for your home, then consult our buying guides (linked below) to better understand which Shark model is best suited.

At Shark's own website you'll find all of the latest models they've released, alongside their full product descriptions and every part and accessory you'd need. It's the best place to go for the full lowdown of what they offer. But they don't stock many of their older models, these can instead be found at places like Walmart, Amazon and Best Buy – so if you know which one to go for, make sure to shop around.

When it comes to finding the best price and knowing whether a deal is genuinely a good one, there are a few things to keep in mind. Online stores (including brands' own websites) will occasionally bump the prices before a major sale event, so the discount looks more significant on the day. To confirm whether the deal is good, you can use the websites Honey and CamelCamelCamel.

Honey is a price comparison tool that works across all the major retailers and online brands. If you install the extension on your browser, whenever you're viewing a product page you'll see how expensive it is at other sites. It'll also show you price history for the past 120 days so that you can see whether it's a good time to buy it (and if the deal is genuine).

CamelCamelCamel shows the price history of any product on Amazon. Enter the product URL or name and you'll see every price it's had since being uploaded to Amazon, so you can see when the product is at its lowest price ever. It'll also help to show you the best time of year to buy.

It's important to remember that Shark vacuums are often released in multiple version (for example, you'll get the Shark POWERDETECT and the Shark POWERDETECT, TruePet Upgrade). The versions can denote different colors, attachments or cleaning stations, so when comparing prices, make sure you've compared every version you're interested in.

The best Shark vacuums to look out for deals on

To make sure you're choosing the right vacuum cleaner for your home, we've tested 12 of Shark's best vacuums to find out which is worth your money. Here's how they fared in our guides.

For more specific guidance, I've picked out the top three Shark vacs to look out for in the sales below.

When is the best time to get a Shark vacuum deal?

Like with most home appliances, we tend to see the biggest discounts, and the biggest selection of offers, during sale events like Black Friday and Prime Day. In general, the period of September to January tends to provide the best deals as it's when brands clear old stock to make way for new releases.

But Shark run sales frequently throughout the year. This year, for example, there's been at least one sale on during each month. They don't always have the best selections, but if you're really after a Shark vacuum you'll be able to find one year-round (to be honest, you should never buy a Shark vac at full price).

Black Friday and Cyber Monday Shark vacuum deals

Although you can find Shark deals throughout the year, the best ones are normally going to be found during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It's also where you'll find the most choice, as retailers and Shark themselves will all launch their own range of discounts.

Use the price comparison tools I mentioned above to make sure you're getting a price. Often, you'll find that Black Friday prices can be found at various points throughout the year.

After Christmas and New Year's Day sales

As we near the end of the year, stockists one to clear old appliances as the new year brings in new releases. So, while you might not get the best choice, you could potentially find older Shark vacuums at their lowest prices ever during this period. Retailers also consider that people spend less during this period, so that's reflected in the price.

Prime Day Shark vacuum deals

Prime Day delivers some huge discounts every year, whether it's the first Prime Day in July or the second in October. Their selection includes newer and older Shark vacuums, so there's the potential that the model you want will be on sale. But in recent years, I haven't seen the best deals on Amazon. They've either been in the competing sales from Walmart and Best Buy or direct from Shark.

Labor Day Shark vacuum deals

In September, most retailers join in on the Labor Day sale event, and I've always been surprised by how many deals there have been, especially on Shark vacuums, that even rival those found in Black Friday and Prime Day. In 2024 Shark ran a site-wide Labor Day sale that saw some vacuums reduced by $100s.

Is Dyson or Shark better?

Put simply, the best Dyson vacuums are some of the best vacuum cleaners on the market. They have advanced suction, particle detection and laser illumination, and in our tests they top our best vacuums list time and time again.

But that kind of cleaning power comes at a price. As we explain in our Shark vs Dyson guide, Shark's vacuums are much more affordable, and still offer impressive sets of features. Plus, they often have unique, thoughtfully-designed features – particularly noticeable in their carpet cleaners and wet/dry vacs.

Consider the best Dyson vacuums if you're looking for the bests, or the best Dyson alternatives if you're looking for powerful vacuums at a fraction of the cost (unsurprisingly, many of our best alternatives are Shark vacuums).

If you find yourself spending a bit too much time cleaning up after your animals, you'll be happy to hear Shark vacuums make it into our list of the best vacuums for pet hair.
