I asked cleaning pros for the 6 products they love and that are actually worth buying from Amazon
Take it from the experts – these are the Amazon cleaning products worth buying
With such a huge amount of cleaning products out there, it can often seem overwhelming to know what is actually worth spending money on.
That's why I spoke with cleaning professionals to find out what they regularly stock up on from Amazon. After all, if these six items are good enough for the experts, they're certainly good enough for use in our homes.
These expert-approved cleaning supplies will keep your home, and your wallet, happy.
6 cleaning supplies the pros think are worth buying from Amazon
1. Multi-surface cleaner
As one of the most essential cleaning supplies for use all around the house, Karina Toner, operations manager at Spekless loves the Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Multisurface Cleaner available at Amazon.
'This cleaner is effective on various surfaces, including countertops, floors, and appliances,' she says. 'It’s made with plant-derived ingredients and essential oils, providing a pleasant scent without harsh chemicals. Plus, it's biodegradable, making it an eco-friendly option,'
It will help clean your home without harming the planet. The spray also features a seasonal, acorn spice scent, is cruelty free, and is made without parabens, phthalates, glycol solvents and artificial colors.
Erin Zanelli, co-founder and CFO of Tranquil Home also recommends the Seventh Generation Lemongrass Citrus Disinfecting Multi-Surface Cleaner available at Amazon, as another eco-friendly cleaning product.
'It's a non-toxic, plant-based cleaner that disinfects without harsh chemicals, which aligns perfectly with my focus on sustainability at Tranquil Home,' Erin says. 'It's also safe around kids and pets, making it great for all households,' and for keeping a clean home when you have pets.
2. Laundry detergent and pods
Given that you might be wondering if you should do laundry every day, Amazon is a great place to stock up on all your laundry room essentials.
'One of our customer favorites leading the top-selling charts are AspenClean Natural Laundry Detergent Unscented available at Amazon and Unscented Laundry Pods by AspenClean available at Amazon,' says Alicia Sokolowski, president and co-CFO of AspenClean. 'Both are loved and appreciated for consistently delivering the best results and deep effective cleaning while being ultra gentle on sensitive skin, making them perfect for babies and those with allergies.'
Both are formulated with only natural ingredients, without synthetic fragrances or harsh chemicals, but are still powerful enough to tackle any stain or dirt. 'Many glowing Amazon reviews just prove our words right,' adds Sokolowski.
Cleaner expert Toner also recommends the Molly's Suds Original Laundry Powder, as it is made from natural ingredients and is free of harmful chemicals. 'It works well in all water temperatures, and is especially good for sensitive skin,' she says. 'The packaging is also biodegradable, making it a sustainable choice.'
All prices were correct at time of publication.
This laundry power is free of animal by-products, dyes, bleach, chemicals and formaldehyde. With five stain-fighting natural ingredients, one tablespoon of it is enough to effectively deeply clean and deodorize a load of washing. This formula also comes in an unscented version.
3. Microfiber cloths
So long as you avoid any microfiber cloth mistakes, this handy and reusable supply can be used all around your home, on all surfaces from wood to glass.
For that reason, cleaning expert Zanelli always stocks up on the E-Cloth Microfiber Towel Cleaning Kit for Windows available at Amazon.
'You can clean surfaces with just water – no chemicals required,' she explains. 'These clothes are great for reducing the need for sprays and wipes, and they clean incredibly well, even on windows and mirrors.'
They effectively remove 99% of grease, grime and dirt, and leave your windows streak-free, without the use of chemicals. They're also reusable, and come with a 100-wash, one-year promise, to keep them in your laundry and out of landfill.
These microfiber cloths are reduced by over half price, and last over 1200 washes, with over-lock braided stitching to keep them looking, and working, their best. They're four times more absorbent than cotton cloths, and won't lint, scratch or pill.
4. Drill brush attachment set
'This is a product I think everyone should have, and Amazon is a great place to get it: a drill brush attachment,' says Alessandro Gazzo, professional cleaner at Emily's Maids. 'This is a bit specific, but it helps with cleaning grout in shower walls and floors when deep cleaning,' in fact, it's the best way to clean shower grout.
It can also be used to clean grout in floor tiles, and Gazzo recommends applying a cleaning product, such as the Ultimate Grout Cleaner Spray for Tile available at Amazon, letting it sit for 15 minutes, and then scrubbing it with the drill attachments. 'I find them really helpful because it saves a lot of time and energy,' he says.
This drill brush attachment set comes with five different types and sizes of brushes, for cleaning bathrooms, grout, upholstery, and carpets. With nylon brushes, your surfaces will not be scratched or damaged. It also comes with three scouring pads in differing stiffness, for the ultimate, powerful, time-saving solution to cleaning struggles.
5. Wool dryer balls
If you're wondering why you should be using dryer balls, they're an excellent product to save money (and your clothing) – and therefore come recommended by experts as what to use instead of dryer sheets.
'Dryer balls replace single-use dryer sheets and help reduce drying time, saving energy,' says cleaning expert Zanelli. 'They're a simple and eco-friendly alternative for laundry care.'
You can also add a few drops of an essential oil for a cheap dryer hack to wool balls for natural fragrance.
These wool dryer balls are made from 100% New Zealand premium wool, without synthetic fillers. They're rolled extra tight into large balls for a felted, natural, long-lasting product to speed up drying time, save energy costs and reduce static cling.
6. Dishwasher pods
While dishwasher pods are, of course, used to clean dirty dishes, there are also a number of surprising things to clean with a dishwasher tablet, which means they're an essential for pro cleaners and households alike.
Cleaning expert Sokolowski recommends stocking up on the AspenClean Unscented Dishwasher Pods available at Amazon, explaining, 'They're our best-sellers for a reason!'
The pods are powerful yet gentle on the environment and are packed with 100% natural ingredients, free from any synthetic fragrances and harmful chemicals.
'They efficiently cut through tough grease and leave dishes sparkling clean,' adds Sokolowski. 'With so many satisfied customers, AspenClean Dishwasher pods are simply eco-friendly household essentials!'
These dishwasher pods have over 99,000 ratings, with satisfied customers rating them 4.8 stars overall. They guarantee virtually spotfree clean dishes, ready to be put away in your cabinets straight out of the dishwasher.
Once you've stocked up, learn how to organize your cleaning supplies with methods recommended by experts, for easily accessible products whenever and wherever you need them.
