I'm shopping Shea McGee's new outdoor collection with Target to help me give my backyard a chic, budget-friendly makeover in time for spring
These affordable patio finds look so much more expensive than they are

Despite the summer months feeling far out of reach, as the first signs of spring start to appear I can't help but look forward to sunnier days spent outdoors. But for that, I'm going to need to refresh my backyard pronto.
In my opinion, there's nothing more fulfilling than a patio makeover. Your outdoor space should feel like a natural extension of your home (but with a lot more flora and fauna), creating a lounging or hosting setup that brings your aesthetic al fresco. Plus, it's even more fun to enjoy than indoors.
Whether you're dreaming of dinner parties under the stars or lazy afternoons spent lounging in the sun, the spring 2025 Threshold designed w/Studio McGee outdoor collection at Target takes Shea’s signature style to the great outdoors, just in time for patio season and without a hefty price tag.
Patio season is calling. But as I'm currently in the midst of a very slow renovating journey, my garden has been somewhat of an afterthought and this collection might just be the nudge I need to finally give my outdoor space the makeover it deserves.
Thankfully for me and for you, the Shea McGee x Target spring collection offers stylish, farmhouse-inspired pieces to help us nail her designer look without the designer cost. From space-saving outdoor furniture to statement-worthy retro patio umbrellas, Shea has provided everything you need to transform your garden in time for the new season.
Here, I've broken down my favorite finds from her latest drop that are sure to sell out quicker than the lighter evenings can draw in...

A pretty footstool is versatile both indoors and out, and this cute stripe pouf can be used as a weather-resistant ottoman, side table, or extra seating for surprise guests this summer.
Of course, Shea has also designed a timeless patio 'chat' set that allows you to gather round and relax with family and friends in style. Designed with wicker-weave seats and loose cushions that are suitable for year-round use.
A playful patio umbrella is a trending garden must-have for spring. Not only does it help you keep cool in the midday sun, but adds pattern and style to a dining or lounging setup.
Refresh old outdoor seating with some new cushions from the collection. Shea has designed many new prints, but this caramel-colored gingham lumbar pillow with a scalloped edge takes the cake.
Another beautiful patio umbrella, but this style features a pretty coastal-inspired palette of slate blue and cream with fringed and scalloped edges for extra design flair. Available in two sizes.
Finding weather-resistant furniture that you can also store away is a hard task. But these folding patio chairs are not only space-saving and durable but will provide stylish extra seating too.
New patio furniture cushions work wonders in transforming older pieces. This seat pad is part of the slate blue design which is available in different sizes and guises but you can also shop a striped style too.
Outdoor-friendly decor shouldn't cost you the earth. These little lantern candle holders feature a glass pillar and a rattan woven base for a rustic meets traditional accent. Simply add a battery-operated candle and glow.
For bounce-proof garden dining, these melamine plates are a must-have. Featuring intricate florals on a deep green background, they're both chic and dishwasher-proof.
Elevate your patio, deck, or front porch with this striped hand-loom area rug that is made from a flat-pile, woven polypropylene for softness and durability underfoot designed for high-traffic outdoor spaces.
While this is designed to be outdoors friendly and resistant to water, UV rays, weather, and fading; this pouf will look just as pretty indoors as out. Designed with a large blue plaid, it's a classic McGee piece.
Nothing looks prettier than fairy lights strung up and around your patio for a warm and welcoming ambiance. Made in a vintage style, the scalloped shades on these 10 lights are finished with gold caps for a playful look.
This garden bench looks so much more expensive than it really is. Woven with rust-and weather-resistant materials, this is sure to be a long-lasting fixture on your patio for comfortable lounging.
Outdoor living has never looked so good. If you're planning to refresh your patio for spring, consider taking a cue from Studio McGee. I know I’ll be adding a few of these pieces to my cart – and, if my previous Target shopping habits are anything to go by, I’d recommend you do the same before they sell out.
