Wherever you live, whatever your budget, you can bring California cool into your home when you shop the Serena and Lily sales. Filled with neutral colors and natural textures, Serena and Lily could bring your coastal decor ideas to life.

As home retailers go, Serena and Lily isn't quite as expensive as Arhaus or Restoration Hardware, but it's nowhere near as affordable as Walmart or Wayfair. As a shopping writer and deals hunter, who specializes in furniture and decor, I've learned to shop the Serena and Lily sales to bag bestsellers at bargain prices. I want to share my wisdom with you.

First, I'll drop some quick links, so that you can shop the Serena and Lily sales by department. Then, I'll share when Serena and Lily tends to run sales and explain more about what makes a good deal.

Serena and Lily Annual Bedding Sale

There's no set date for this sale, but it tends to fall in January. This year, I saw 20% discounts on sheets, duvets, and pillows, plus a few super-steep discounts of 70% or more on clearance items. These bedding sets are still in perfect condition: Serena and Lily just want to shift older stock to make way for new pieces.

Serena and Lily Spring Design Sale

Typically running from the last week of February into the last week of March, the Serena and Lily Spring Design Event offers 20% off everything or 25% off plus free shipping on orders over $2,500. This is a great time to stock up on outdoor furniture and decor before the weather warms up.

Serena and Lily Annual Outdoor Sale

For deep discounts on outdoor furniture, rugs, lighting and accessories, shop the Annual Outdoor Sale in April and May. If you live in a warmer climate, where you'll want to be outside earlier in the year, I suggest you shop the Spring Design Event, instead.

Serena and Lily Black Friday sales

This year, Black Friday falls on November 28, but I'd expect the deals to start dropping at least a week in advance and run until Cyber Monday on December 1. This is when you'll see the deepest discounts on coastal furniture and decor, as competitor stores compete to offer the lowest prices.

FAQs

What is the Serena and Lily aesthetic?

In three words, the Serena and Lily aesthetic is cool, coastal and casual. You'll see lots of whites and blues, along with natural textures, such as rattan, wicker, and linen. Serena and Lily is the store of choice for coastal grandmothers everywhere.

Why is Serena and Lily so expensive?

When you shop at Serena and Lily, you're paying for furniture and decor made from natural materials by artisans with a high level of customizability (choosing fabric swatches or wood types and so forth), often made to order. The combination of these factors drives the price up.

If you like the California cool look and feel of Serena and Lily, but you're working with a slightly tighter budget, then I suggest you shop elsewhere. Lulu and Georgia shares the same laid-back elegance, though some of their picks are more contemporary than coastal. For more of a bohemian feel, try the Anthropologie deals.
