Finally, outdoor lighting that’s colorful and cordless – meet the Pooky x Novogratz collab that's about to change your summer
From vintage-style pink lanterns to rechargeable pendants, this is how I’m giving my garden a glow-up

I've always longed to level up my patio beyond basic garden fairy lights and do something much more stylish, but it is a hard task without going to the expense of additional wiring.
However, thanks to this chic new collaboration between Pooky x Novogratz, fun garden lighting ideas have never been easier. It’s bold, it’s joyful, and it brings portable lamps al fresco.
With cordless lanterns, sconces, and even floor lamps – all in a vintage-inspired, playful palette – this 14-piece collection brings together British brand Pooky's famed rechargeable innovation and Novogratz's punchy vision to help transform your garden for summer. No electrician required.
When I first started looking for stylish outdoor lighting for my garden makeover, I was surprised by how limited the options were, especially if you love color as much as I do. Thankfully, Bob and Cortney Novogratz also saw my plight.
'What I love most is how we've brought much-needed color to outdoor spaces – especially that vintage-toned pink –and the way the cordless technology allows these stunning designs to enhance any gathering without limitations,' says Cortney Novogratz, principal and founder of The Novogratz.
The colors – Blush, Denim, Moss, and Sand – can be seen woven throughout the collection, from powder-coated lamps to the wavy Tallulah Jute Basket Pendant, and not forgetting the collection of indoor-worthy lampshade designs.
While all pieces are incredibly versatile, the standout lamp has to be the Stefan Cordless Lantern, which comes in three sizes, four colors, and can be used to illuminate your tablescape, poolside, or can be hung from your wall (or tree) using the Lantern Hook to turn it into a nifty sconce. Plus, the fact that they’re rechargeable means you can put them anywhere, no outlets or hardwiring required.

Each of the pieces relies on the genius Genesis Rechargeable Cell from Pooky, which boasts a battery life of up to 15 hours, depending on brightness. Most of the pieces are also dimmable, come with a handy remote control, and can be left outdoors year-round.
'There’s no reason why you can’t have a statement standing lamp next to your favourite lounger, or colorful table lamps and lamp shades over your outdoor dining table,' says Jo Plant, chief creative officer at Pooky Lighting. 'We’re celebrating the joys of outdoor living and who better to do that with than The Novogratz, who love color and pattern as much as we do.'
Whether you’re styling a balcony, backyard, or a rooftop terrace, this collection makes it easier (and much more fun). Let me show you my favorite pieces.

Shown here in moss green, this relaxed, wavy pendant can be hung anywhere in your garden. I'll be styling mine on my pergola to create an outdoor living room feel.
Ah, the Stefan lantern. The minute I set my sights on this lamp, I knew I needed one. The problem is – which color to choose? I love the joy-inducing vibrancy of this sandy yellow, perfect for introducing some butter yellow decor into your backyard.
Not only is this floor lamp totally cordless, so you can take it literally anywhere (indoors and out), but it is achingly cool too. With 8.5 hours of battery life, this is such a great way to amp up the coziness of your outdoor dining area.
The ultimate accessory to the Stefan lamp are the perfectly color-matched lantern hooks that you simply screw into the wall, tree, outdoor kitchen, or even side of your bar to turn it into a charming sconce. Genius.
There are a few accessories in the collection, including the chic Bellamy Candle Sconce, but I can't get enough of this wonderfully wonky mirror. Perfect for creating the illusion of more space in smaller patios or balconies.
As someone who’s spent far too long trying to make basic garden lighting look chic, this collection feels like a revelation.
