Piglet in Bed has just launched its new dreamy spring collection – the theme is European fairy tale

Here's what to shop from 'The Land of Nod', Piglet in Bed's brand new collection for SS24

Piglet in Bed just dropped a brand new collection, The Land of Nod, and I'm obsessed with every single item. Each flat sheet, fitted sheet, duvet cover, and pillowcase in The Land of Nod collection is made from 100% European flax linen and cotton and draws inspiration from the dream-like worlds of European fairy tales.

We're talking fresh color schemes inspired by woodland creatures and forest berries, as well as two never-before-seen styles for spring and summer: Somerley Stripe, with its sweet dobby weave, and bolder, brighter Amberley Stripe. You'll also find new hues in the Gingham family and a new addition to the Washed Cotton Percale collection.

Piglet in Bed make some of the world's best bed sheets. They're durable, yet breathable, ideal for hot sleepers and warmer weather. I should know: I've tested a set. I was lucky enough to sample the Piglet in Bed Sage Green Bedtime Bundle, and now I want a set in every color. I can't wait to explore the new shades and styles from The Land of Nod.

Piglet in Bed launch The Land of Nod

This article should tell you everything you need to know about The Land of Nod bedding collection, from the feel of the materials to the details of each pattern. To save you scrolling, I've rounded up a few of my favorite pieces from the collection. You can shop from my shortlist or visit The Land of Nod in your own time.

Somerley Stripe

Although Piglet in Bed make the best linen sheets, The Land of Nod marks their first foray into linen and cotton blends. Each piece in the Somerley Stripe collection combines the durability of linen with the strength and softness of cotton. Subtle stripes add depth and dimension to your bedspread, while the patterned dobby weave lends touchable texture. The Somerley Stripe comes in three colorways, inspired by the shapes and shades of the forest. Choose from warm clay, bluebell, or thyme, or shop an assortment to mix and match with the best white bed sheets

Amberley Stripe

If you're keen to experiment with prints and patterns, and you'd like to go bolder, you'll find a lot to like in the Amberley Stripe collection. Here, you won't find any neat white lines for softness. Each fitted sheet, flat sheet, duvet cover, and pillowcase is richly dyed in plum wine and dusty blue, drawing out the depth and darkness of fairy tales. These are the sort of sheets that would really pop against plain white walls. With their classic pattern and timeless tones, they wouldn't look out of place in a vintage bedroom, either.

Gingham

I first encountered Piglet in Bed on Pinterest. That's where their Botanical Green Gingham Linen Sheet Set gained its cult status. Since then, Piglet in Bed has taken their Gingham range beyond the bedroom: you could shop for gingham pajamas, table runners, and wool blankets. The Land of Nod affords the opportunity to play with gingham in brighter shades, inspired by the forest floor, including: pistachio; elderberry; pink bloom; and indigo, which comes in cotton.

Washed Cotton Percale

Last, but by no means least, is the latest addition to the Washed Cotton Percale range: Favorite Shirt. Each flat sheet, fitted sheet, duvet cover and pillowcase is made from crisp, cool cotton percale, dyed sky blue, and lined with subtle pinstripes. Each piece comes prewashed, so it should feel just as soft as your favorite shirt, fresh out of the dryer. While you might iron your favorite shirt for work, I'd encourage you to air dry these sheets to protect and preserve the natural fibers. Any creases and crinkles are all part of the charm.

Final thoughts

Once you've invested in some brand-new bedding from The Land of Nod, it's important to take good care of it. Make sure to avoid these bedding mistakes to get the most out of your product.

It's no secret that Piglet in Bed sheets are on the more expensive side. I'd argue that you get what you pay for, but if you're keen to save some cash, you should keep an eye on the bedding sales for deep discounts.
