For expensive-looking decor on a shoestring budget, shop the H&M Home sale

I've spent hours shopping the H&M Home sales to bring you cozy throws, soft furnishings, and statement decor, for as much as 60% off

H&M Home is one of my go-to stores for affordable decor with plenty of personality. Their seasonal sales are hotly anticipated, and their winter offerings didn't disappoint. Right now, you can save up to 60% on cozy throws, stylish serveware, and decorative objects to tie the room together.

With so much listed for so little, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the scale of the sale. It can be hard to tell the difference between a good deal and a low price on a poor product. That's where I come in. As a shopping writer, I love a good bargain, but I'd never compromise quality for cost. I've spent many happy hours window-shopping the H&M Home sales to bring you a few of my favorite pieces.

Constantly buying new pieces to embrace ever-changing interior design trends is a waste of time and money. When you're shopping the sales, it pays to be selective. That's why I suggest you shop from my shortlist. If you'd like to scroll for yourself, then here are some quick links to each of the sales sections.

My favorite finds from the H&M Home sale

When to shop at H&M Home

H&M Home runs regular sales throughout the year. If you want to get the deepest discounts in the seasonal sales, plus extra perks and promotions, then you should sign up to be an H&M member. You'll get exclusive deals, $10 off your first order, and points towards your next purchase. Alternatively, you could sign up for the H&M newsletter to save another 15%.

H&M Member Day sales

Member Days offer one-day deals and giveaways for H&M members. There's no set schedule for Member Days, but I've seen them happen in March and October. You could always switch on notifications on H&M's social media to make sure you don't miss a beat. Member Days are all about scaled discounts: 15% off $60, 20% off $100, and so on, to try and encourage you to spend more.

H&M spring sale

This usually starts in mid-March and runs into April. You could score up to 20% off furniture and decor, plus an extra 5% off items in the clearance sale.

H&M Summer sale

This usually starts in mid-June, but the discounts get much deeper in July. I've seen as much as 70% off furniture and decor in the summer sales, and H&M members can often save another 10% or 15% on top.

H&M Fall sale

Out of all the sales H&M offer, I would skip the Fall sale. Usually, you only get 30% off: you'll make a much bigger saving if you wait for the Black Friday deals.

H&M Black Friday sale

This often starts early for members. Last year, H&M ran an Early Black Friday Flash Sale in October, with 30% off site-wide.

H&M Winter sale

Discounts go as deep as 70%, as H&M Home tries to shift old stock to make room for new seasonal items.

How we source H&M Home deals

To compile this H&M Home deals page, our eCommerce Editors combined forces to pool our product suggestions. Charlotte covers furniture and decor, so she got first pick; Lydia takes care of our kitchen content, so she suggested serveware and tableware pieces. As for me, I'm H&G's resident Sleep Editor, and I'm always on the hunt for the best bedding, throw pillows, and blankets.

As shopping writers, we appreciate a low price, but we'll never sacrifice quality for cost. We sifted through more than 400 items in the H&M Home sale to hand-pick our favorites, offering styling suggestions to help you integrate each piece into your own home.

H&M Home is one of the best places to buy affordable furniture. Their pieces have more personality than similar offerings at Target or Wayfair, but they're competitively priced. I've just pressed 'order' on two sets of those napkin rings, and I'll be back to shop the sales again.
