Diane von Furstenberg’s first Target collection is here, and it’s affordable luxury at its best
DVF just launched her first Target collection, and it’s filled with colorful patterns, chic designs, and a ton of unique statement pieces
Iconic fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg might be most famously known for the wrap dress, but her gorgeous take on pattern is another technique that stands the test of time.
So, for her first ever collection for Target in partnership with her daughter, Talita, it’s no wonder that she wanted to bring elements of this into the products. Consisting of color and pattern in various forms across the home, fashion, and lifestyle categories, the new line is full archival prints from the heritage fashion brand as well as new pieces and patterns exclusive to Target. Think comfy bedding, colorful serveware and barware, and stylish furniture pieces.
‘Every collection we create is about making women feel confident so they can be the women they want to be,’ said Diane von Furstenberg. ‘Talita and I are proud to partner with Target to extend that invitation to even more women who want to experience timeless pieces that bring effortless glamour and empowerment to their everyday lives.’
Last week, I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the collection, and it really was a cheerful, spring-inspired launch that made me so excited for warmer weather ahead.
Every single item had a pop of color and pattern, but you’ll be able to find both darker hues and more subtle looks if louder colors and more dramatic options aren’t really your thing. If you’re looking for some new spring decor ideas or tips and tricks on how to decorate with patterns, this is the ultimate collection to purchase, and I’ve even narrowed down some of my favorites in order to make the process easier for you.
Our edit of the DVF x Target collection
This reversible comforter uses a blue and green ginkgo and geranium pattern for a new take on botanical. The soft sateen fabric and micro piping make it a warm staple for chilly nights.
This rainbow-colored set of glasses has an almost hand-painted look to it, and they’re gorgeous for springtime parties. Each one has been made of thick, clear glass, so you can use them outside as well.
I love an ottoman that does double duty, and this is one of my favorite storage ottomans of all time. The wooden frame provides ample support, and the removable cushion cover lets you hide your favorite items with ease.
This melamine tray is sturdy enough to serve all your guests their favorite meals, and the eye-catching arrow geo-green pattern commands attention.
Playful, multicolored polka dots add a fun touch to the base of this table lamp, while the white drum shade provides contrast. The bold brass base also brings a touch of luxe vibes.
Each tablecloth from this collection has been uniquely cut, so no two are exactly alike. However, they all share a selection of colorful floral toile in varying hues for that pop of color your tablescape’s been missing.
A cozy throw blanket is a must for chilly spring nights, and this is a neutral option that still boasts a pretty poppy design for interest.
This rectangular serving platter is crafted from stone in a black, cream, and pink marble pattern, allowing for a mix of color and adding a stylish focal point to your kitchen countertop.
