9 marble decor pieces for a classic look that's never going to date
Marble furniture is majorly trending, but these decor pieces will allow you to take part without entirely overloading your home (and your budget)
Marble is such a classic material. It's totally timeless and whatever form you bring it into your home in it's sure to never date. After all, who doesn’t love a well-placed marble countertop in their kitchen, or some chic marble tiles in their bathroom?
Recently, however, we’ve all gone a little more adventurous with the ways in which we use marble decor, and one of the biggest marble trends at the moment includes furniture pieces, such as dining and side tables, nightstands, and desks, in particular.
However, while I’m all for decorating with marble through statement kitchen islands and a stunning marble dining table taking center stage, I’m also well aware that investing in marble furniture pieces comes with huge design and budget constraints. That’s why I’m happy to see that more and more retailers are allowing for simpler home accents that let you still incorporate marble into your home, without overwhelming your design scheme completely.
'Marble homewares, like trays, coasters, and lamp bases, provide an effortless way to infuse everyday luxury into a room,' explains interior designer Artem Kropovinsky. 'It's all about the little accents that elevate a space.'
I’ve looked to my favorite retailers to see what small marble decor pieces they have on offer and was pleasantly surprised to see a huge variety of stylish marble accents that can instantly elevate any room.
Best marble decor to suit any style or space
If marble bathroom tiles just aren’t your thing, you can still carve out a little space for marble with this stunning wastebasket from CB2. The simple swirls of gray naturally add some interest.
Metal and marble together make a stellar combination, so I’m obsessed with the natural marble base on this lamp. When the bulb is lit up, it makes even more of a statement.
Green marble is a rare find, which is why I suggest you grab these bookends while you still can. Perfect for combining the marble and bookshelf wealth trend in one piece.
Made of a creamy blue-green Indian marble, this whimsical tray is ideal for your favorite gold jewelry. I personally place all my gold-accented perfume bottles on it to add a luxurious touch to my dresser.
These not-so-simple coasters can be monogrammed for an extra touch, so consider gifting them to guests at your next soirée.
This cake stand has been handcrafted from solid white marble, and the elevated, sleek base also means you don’t have to limit it to just cake: Add an extravagant touch to pretty much any kind of presentation, from a cheese platter to dessert.
Some pretty marble planters by the window will always make a statement, and honestly, why not give your greens and blooms the prettiest base possible? Each one has a different vein variation, so you'll be able to play around with the design.
A marble soap dish in a guest bathroom just upgrades the space instantly, and this affordable option is great because it’s been perfectly handcrafted to easily store your favorite soap.

This weighty marble table vase doubles as a piece of art, and its unique shape will leave all your dinner guests agape.
How do you best care for your marble pieces?
You can trust Homes & Gardens.
Marble is a porous material, so if it’s left unsealed, you need to be particularly careful that it doesn't get excessively wet: This will ruin the markings on it. Instead, wipe your marble piece with a damp cloth regularly to keep it clean. Never use aggressive cleaning products, particularly those with bleach or acidic detergents, and don't try to remove marks with steel wool or abrasive paper. After wiping, finish with a dry, lint-free cloth.
Marble decor is a stylish, unique way to incorporate the marble trend into your home, without spending a fortune on marble furniture or some new bathroom wall tile. From planters to wastebaskets, there’s a world of marble decor out there that you’ll easily be able to incorporate into your home.
