A vintage rug is a classic home decor item that's long been loved for its ability to warm a room with texture and pattern. But sourcing an affordable one that's in good condition can be tricky.

While rug trends change year-on-year, vintage-style carpets are a consistent winner. And luckily for us, interior designer Amber Lewis is as on-trend as ever and has launched a bespoke, antique-inspired line of rugs in collaboration with Loloi.

Made up of nine pieces, The Molly collection is super varied, spanning from neutral warm shades to deep blue hues, there's something here for every style of home. We dive deeper into the line and get to the bottom of Amber's inspiration behind the meaningful collection.

Amber's collection has provided us with plenty of living room rug ideas. She explains that the inspiration behind the collection was her love for the past and vintage aesthetic. She explains, 'I wanted to blur the line between vintage and new and this is exactly what we were able to achieve. Truly, when I say that each and every piece is so unique, it is.'

Amber adds, 'I think one of the most important things to me is getting a product that feels and looks super authentic to the vintage that I've loved and appreciated for years. With The Molly Collection, that's exactly what you've got.'

Don't worry if you are picky about choosing a rug, Amber has covered all bases by designing a varied collection that will suit a whole range of interiors.

She explains there's 'such an incredible range of tones. Some have a little bit of blue and mauve and then we have the other end of the spectrum which is very sandy and neutral.' Amber says she considered all the hues, there are 'very beautiful ivory tones that are just a little bit more muted and cool.'
