Take a tour of Wayne Gretzky's California mansion, so fabulous he bought it twice
NHL legend Wayne Gretzky is selling his stunning Cali mansion for the second time, having owned it twice in the last twenty years
Having originally bought this spectacular home in Thousand Oaks nearly two decades ago, hockey’s greatest superstar, Wayne Gretzky and his wife, Janet, soon hired architect Richard Landry to redesign the vast 6.5 acre property.
In 2007, the couple moved out, selling it to baseball-star-turned-financial-advisor Lenny Dykstra, who subsequently had to sell the home having gone into foreclosure.
The Gretzkys bought it back in 2018 for $14.9 million and turned the stunning home back into a beautiful celebrity home (as Dykstra had reportedly trashed the mansion) and now it's back on the market for the princely sum of $22.9 million.
Perched on the crest of a hill with breathtaking 360-degree views of the Santa Monica Mountains and Lake Sherwood, this impressive home boasts several buildings, with two detached guest houses and formally landscaped gardens.
Designed in a Colonial Revival-style, the interior features an enormous 13,276 square feet of living space, with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

The newly-renovated property now features a high-end kitchen (with a large Wolf range) opening out to a family room. The vast master suite boasts a sitting room and dual baths, while the property also includes a billiards room and screening room.
Other notable features include a Championship-sized tennis court, a full gym, a huge swimming pool and a detached garage with space for four cars.
The outdoor area also features a wood-burning pizza oven and a separate wood and gas barbecue. Inside, the property has naturally been redesigned with a high level of craftsmanship throughout.
The surrounding area of Lake Sherwood is synonymous with celebrity residents. Sylvester Stallone, Britney Spears, Michael Bolton, Mark Wahlberg, Rod Stewart and Tom Brady all call this area home so the buyer of this stunning property will be in good company.
The listing agent for this remarkable property is Arvin Haddad of The Agency, Beverly Hills.
