The majestic villa from House of Gucci is available on Airbnb
The site of Aldo Gucci’s home is a celebration of ‘90s Italian opulence on the fringe of Lake Como
Villa Balbiano, the extravagant mansion from Ridley Scott’s latest film House of Gucci, is listed on Airbnb for €1000 for one night. The estate combines late twentieth-century European design with quintessential English charm – including gardens designed by the British Society of Garden Designers.
With its combination of continental allure its current place at the peak of popular culture, Villa Balbiano is amongst the most in-demand properties of the moment – and rightfully sits amongst the world’s best homes.
To celebrate the recent release of House of Gucci, the villa's host is offering a one-night-only stay via Airbnb on March 30th, 2022.
The stay offers two guests the opportunity to sleep in the master suite – along with access to the home’s luxe amenities. These include an outdoor swimming pool, private pier, and boathouse that stretches onto Lake Como. However, its interiors are equally as noteworthy. Here, we take a look around the ornate property.
The main living space is perhaps the most elegant of all rooms in the villa – and fuels our living room ideas with its elegant wall covering and a showcase of perfect symmetry. A large chandelier stands in the middle of the space and acts as a barrier between the two sides of the room to further emphasize the line of symmetry that gives the room a regent feel.
In all its timeless style, the living room similarly experiments with contemporary design features, including the stacked chandelier table lights that stand as a modern twist on the age-old classic.
These grand decorating ideas are not limited to the living space. Instead, they flow into the master bedroom, which is crowned with a hotelier favorite design tip – a statement headboard.

While this ruby focal point favors the bold, it stands as a talking point in the most personal room of the home and acts as an enduring nod to luxury that is unlikely to fall out of style.
The master bedroom leads into the bathroom that exhibits luxe bathroom ideas through its use of mirrored panels that reflect the natural sunlight and the chandelier’s sparkle – to ensure the space feels even larger. Similarly, the second suite comes complete with a freestanding tub and views across the waves of Como.
The House of Gucci villa costs 1,000 euros for the night. Bookings for this one-night stay open on December 6th at 5 pm (GMT).
