Bridgerton fever is sweeping the nation and, as well as creating Regé-Jean Page hysteria, it's also sent period property searches soaring.

New research from Rightmove reveals that Bridgerton-esque properties are the most-viewed homes in the UK over the past month.

Rightmove’s Director of Property Data Tim Bannister said: 'It’s always interesting to see which homes are piquing the nation’s interest, and there definitely appears to be a theme with this crop of properties. 

'All four of the most-viewed properties on Rightmove are grand stately homes that wouldn’t look out of place on the set of hit show Bridgerton.'

1. A 14th century mansion in Devon

This charming 10-bedroom country home, which dates back to the 14th Century, has been painstakingly restored into a stunning family home. Chanters House is on the market for a cool £7 million and its centerpiece is The Great Library, a breathtaking room that is home to around 22,000 books.

The property reportedly once belonged to the English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, and now comes complete with an indoor swimming pool, tennis court and lush parkland. See more here.

2. A grand Grade II-listed home in Bristol

Norland House is another exquisite Grade II-listed family home, which was first built around 1830 and later remodelled in the 1870s.

Up for sale for £4.65 million, the grand seven-bedroom mansion mixes period architecture with modern day interior and the result is a truly luxurious place to call home.

Haddon House is a beautiful Georgian-style family homes that’s tucked away in the Staffordshire countryside. The sprawling five-bedroom property is on the market for a little under £3 million, and although the décor may not be to everyone’s taste, its opulence still shines through.

4. An imposing Edwardian country house in Bedfordshire

The Grange was originally built in 1906 for Mr Henry Curtis, a notable farmer and landowner in Bedfordshire. During its lifetime it’s also been used as a base for the Armed Forces, as well as a private school.
