We love: Torre de Palma

Dating back to 1338, the remains of the ancient house were restored in 2014 to embody the current Torre de Palma Wine Hotel.

About Torre de Palma

With its contemporary twist on classic Portuguese style, this boutique hotel and winery offers ample opportunity to enjoy the region's historic past.

Nestled deep in the Alentejo wine region of southern Portugal sits Torre de Palma, where Ana Isabel and Paulo Barradas Rebelo have created a convivial setting for sampling the offerings from the surrounding vineyards. Recently renovated, the 14th-century farm estate comprises a gleaming white manor house surrounded by long ranch-style buildings, which house 19 guest rooms.

Torre de Palma

In a nod to the estate's heritage, designer Rosarinho Gabriel has fashioned relaxed interiors that are a distinctive mix of the traditional and modern. Whitewashed walls provide a fitting backdrop for period furniture, finished with carefully chosen accessories, for a rural escape rooted in local culture.
