My test day with the Kuvings Auto10 juicer couldn’t have been better timed – even though I was feeling far from my best. As the hours passed, I was fading fast: sore throat, aching limbs, the works. But thankfully, my latest test subject turned out to be exactly what I needed. The Kuvings Auto10 effortlessly whipped up fresh ginger shots and citrus-packed immune boosters, creating some of the freshest, most vibrant juices I’ve ever had – and I barely had to lift a finger.
The large hopper and automatic functions propel this model in our list of the best slow juicers. There's no need to chop your ingredients into tiny pieces to fit the chute; the 100oz hopper (the largest on the market), enables you to pre-load whole ingredients into the juicer. It's ideal for batch juicing, busy people, or anyone with low energy.
As someone who reviews top kitchen appliances for a living, I’m always on the lookout for products that truly make a difference – and this juicer did just that. It’s remarkably easy to use, and the clean-up was straightforward, too. In short, it’s a pretty perfect appliance, with a 10-15 year limited warranty to back up its reliability and quality. In this review, I’ll break down everything you need to know, what makes it stand out, and how it performed in my tests.
Specifications
First impressions & setting up
Straight out of the box, the Kuvings Auto10 made an impression. It’s substantial – large but elegant, with no flimsy plastic parts in sight. You can tell this is a high-end, durable appliance. Everything slotted together with ease. The arrow markings on the feeding chute and juice pitcher align, so once the chute is locked into place, you are ready to start.
I was very excited by the wide 3000ml auto-cut feeding chute, which means you can add a whole bunch of fresh produce without chopping and prepping. I'm really into my wellness and I love fresh, healthy food and drinks, but I'm often so short on time and don't have the energy to prepare them. I think this hands-free design is game-changing technology, so I couldn't wait to give it a go.
Juicing performance
I tested the Kuvings Auto10 juicer on three classic juices. A green kale and celery juice, an orange, carrot and turmeric juice, and the classic ginger shots. There's more functionality than just juices on this machine – it can make sorbet and smoothies too, but I tell you more about that later.
1. Green kale & celery juice
I wanted to start with a classic green juice, packed with celery stalks, whole cucumbers, kale, spinach, and lemon. To my delight, I didn’t have to chop anything – I just dropped everything into the chute. As soon as I clicked the lid shut, the juicer took over. Operating at a quiet 51 decibels, it worked away without disturbing my peace. I think it would be perfect for early risers and gym-goers, who want to make juice without waking the household.
At just 50 revolutions, the Kuvings Auto10 gently extracts nutrients. The pulp slowly churned out into the pitcher on the left-hand side, and it was very dry which signifies good extraction. True to form, a vibrant, clear green juice poured into the pitcher. It looked exactly like the juice in my recipe book, with a little bit of froth on the top. The taste was incredibly fresh, earthy, and by far the best green juice I’ve ever made.
2. Orange, carrot & turmeric juice
Next, I turned to root vegetables for a true test of this juicer's power. I have to admit, I actually chopped the carrots into thirds, because I was nervous the juicer wouldn't be able to handle the long stems. I couldn't have been more wrong, the Kuvings Auto10 churned them up and juiced them easily, even making light work of the peeled oranges and turmeric roots, too. The result was my favorite juice of the day – light, zingy, and well-balanced without a single piece of pulp or fiber.
3. Ginger shots
Whenever I'm feeling under the weather, I reach for ginger shots. I usually buy them from the store, but they are expensive and make a dent in your wallet if you buy them regularly. So, I decided to batch-make ginger shots in the Kuvings Auto10, starting with a bunch of organic ginger roots and peeled lemons. Thanks to the spacious chute, this was a breeze. The juicer handled the fibrous ginger without a hitch, producing a silky smooth, potent juice with no stringy bits in sight. I mixed it with honey, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of cayenne pepper for an extra kick. The result was far better than any store-bought juice I've tried – and a fantastic money-saver. The Kuvings Auto10 is a winner for making large batches.
What else can it do?
I didn't have time to test out the smoothie or sorbet functions on this machine (sorry, but I eventually came down with the flu – despite all those ginger shots I was drinking!) But if it's anything like the Kuvings EVO820 Juicer we tested back in 2022, you can rest assured the results will be delicious. Our tester, Camryn, tested this one with a blueberry avocado smoothie. She says, 'I actually think the juicer did a better job than some of the best blenders at making the beverage a smooth, drinkable consistency, and I’d definitely use it for this purpose again.'
I've also read through many positive customer reviews about the sorbet function. One reviewer on Reddit says that it rivals the Ninja Creami at making the most delicious frozen treats.
Cleaning, storage & maintenance
Cleaning can make or break a juicer. I've tested some models that were easy enough to use, but a nightmare to clean. Kuvings makes it pretty simple, but you do need to read the instruction booklet first. The illustrations and guidance are really helpful, and once you know how, things aren't too bad.
Kuvings juicers do need to be hand-washed, because dishwashers may damage the parts, but they provide extra cleaning tools to help you out. I thought these were really well-designed; they fit into even the tiniest spaces to remove excess pulp. Plus, there are unlockable components within the juicer set-up that you can easily slide out to release fiber. It makes things just that bit easier and smoother, although it's obviously not as effortless as a dishwasher.
Kuvings says, 'The juicer is best cleaned immediately after use. Simply fill it with water, run the motor briefly, and rinse. Clean all parts under running water using the brushes.'
In terms of storage, this is chunky, so you'll need to have a large portion of cupboard space ready. I suppose you could keep it on the counter to avoid lifting it out and setting it up every time you use it, but that's not the most aesthetic choice. You'll also need to keep those cleaning utensils in a safe place too; don't lose them or the cleaning will become a pain.
What do customer reviews say?
The Kuvings Auto juicer has a very high rating on Amazon. Customers agree that it's perfect for batch juicing, with the large hopper and impressive juice yield. I agree with the comments that praise the hands-free feed – it saves so much time and effort when you don't have to chop and dice ingredients into tiny pieces.
Some people felt it was a bit slow, but that gentle churning creates a higher-quality juice and it is also extremely quiet. Some reviews also mention that they enjoy the sorbet function for creating creamy frozen desserts that are healthy and cheap.
Should you buy it?
I am rarely this evangelical about an appliance, but the Kuvings Auto10 is a really brilliant buy. It might be expensive, but with a 10-15 year warranty on the motor, well-designed durable parts, and a world of versatility, I think it offers good value for money. It's effortless to use, pretty simple to clean, and a joy to juice. You won't regret choosing this quality model over a cheaper, flimsier option, but if you're worried about the price tag, I'd advise shopping for a Kuvings juicer in a Black Friday sale.
How we test the best juicers
We put a lot of thought into how we test juicers. We spend hours researching the best models on the market, before deciding which models to order to our test kitchen. Once they arrive, we assess the design, ease of set-up and first impressions. We also record the capacity of each pitcher, which indicates how many servings of juice you can make at one time. Smaller juicers might be best for single households and cozier kitchens, while bigger juicers can make multiple servings to be enjoyed now or saved for later.
Next, my favorite part. The juicing performance test. We test each model with a variety of fresh produce, monitoring the level of foam, noise, and pulp produced. We also check the dampness of the pulp: the drier it is, the more juice has been extracted, indicating an efficient machine. To get a good sense of what a juicer can do, we have three main tests:
Orange and carrot juice: Orange juice is the kind that you could make by hand, at a squeeze, so any juicer should be able to make better-than-storebought orange juice. We note whether you need to peel and chop the orange and the extraction rate of the juicer, so we can get a good idea of how each model handles soft, simple fruits. Then, we'll add some carrots into the mix.
Raw carrots take a lot of effort to squeeze, but, done right, they'll complement the orange juice wonderfully, balancing out the sweetness with some more savory notes. Again, we'll make notes on how much we need to chop the carrots and how much pulp and juice is produced from pressing them.
Green juice: Every juicing enthusiast has visions of pressing their morning green juices, with apple, spinach, kale, cucumber, and lime, but this is a tough, fibrous group of ingredients to work through. You'll only get a good, nutritious green juice if each ingredient is well-squeezed, so we watch carefully to see how crisp and clear our green juices are and then we'll check the pulp to make sure that's dry and crumbly.
Ginger shots: If you want a sip of something that will wake you up in the morning, the likelihood is, that you'll be juicing ginger. We add apple (or pineapple), ginger, and lemon, to our juicer to see what it does with stringy, fibrous ingredients like ginger. This is one of the toughest tests any juicer faces because lots of the fibers can catch and clog. If it's done well, we know it's a successful model.
After we've enjoyed many delicious juicers (or patiently sipped through puply, fibrous blends from the less impressive models on the marker), we start the cleaning process. Juicers are notoriously tricky to clean, so we give extra points to intuitive designs and accessories that smooth out the process.
Before writing up our verdict, we trawl through customer reviews to get a sense of the reliability and longevity of each model. It's always important to think about how a juicer fits into everyday life of various different people. This helps us think about what type of person the juicer would suit. And finally, we weigh up value for money. If it's well-deisgned, easy to use, makes beautiful fresh juice, and isn't a nightmare to clean, it's getting a good score from us.
