I Just Got My Hands on the Ninja SLUSHi – Don’t Worry About the Size, It’s Worth Every Inch for Summer Cocktails and Treats

I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely it looks on my counter

Even as adults, my friends and I still get unreasonably excited about an icy slush drink in the summer. Thanks to the new Ninja SLUSHI Max, I can finally make enough for everyone to share without leaving my kitchen.

At first, the large SLUSHi worried me. The extra-large upgrade over the original felt intimidating for a small kitchen. After finally getting my hands on one, though, I can confidently say it earns every inch of counter space.

I have yet to put the Ninja SLUSHi Max to the test, although based on initial impressions and existing reviews, it is already shaping up to be one of the best Ninja summer appliances so far.

What intrigues me most is the new SlushAssist technology – a preset program designed to 'read' the drink mixture and automatically adjust the timing and temperature. Whether you’re blending fruit juices, alcoholic mixes, or creamy milkshakes, it’s built to handle the balance for you. I’ll be putting it through its paces to see just how well it adapts.

For non-dairy blends, the machine can also keep drinks chilled for up to 12 hours, making it especially useful for long summer gatherings when guests might wander back for another round well after dinner as the evening winds down. It is the ideal tool for staying cool when hosting outside.

With the increased capacity of the Ninja SLUSHi Max comes a larger footprint, and there’s no denying it’s a sizeable appliance. In my small kitchen, it claims a noticeable portion of the counter space I’d usually reserve for food prep.

That said, it’s far less imposing than the packaging initially suggests and doesn’t look out of place alongside my refrigerator. For keen hosts who regularly entertain larger groups or households with children, I think it is more than worth the counter space.

Even before putting it fully to the test, I can already see it earning a permanent spot in my summer setup. And when the colder months roll around, I’d happily go through the effort of reboxing it and tucking it away until frozen drink season returns.
