Jeremiah Brent and Nate Berkus's beautiful kitchen transformation leaves interior designers in awe – their statement marble island is utterly stunning
It's safe to say the latest Queer Eye heroes' homes are definitely in safe hands with Jeremiah
The Fab Five are back, and the much-anticipated Season 9 of Queer Eye welcomes a new face, none other than Jeremiah Brent, who has replaced Bobby Burke as the interior designer on the show.
As we delve into the new series (make sure you have tissues at the ready), we thought we would look back at one of our favorite spaces in the NYC home of Jeremiah Brent and his (also interior designer) husband, Nate Berkus.
Nate and Jeremiah have taken their kitchen ideas from dated and dark to sophisticated and light-filled, creating a truly breathtaking oasis and inviting heart of the home. The redesigned, ultra-chic kitchen features light-wash herringbone floors, black and white marble countertops, and eye-catching modern light fixtures – but the real star of the show is their standout kitchen island.

Interior experts love the design of the power couple's marble kitchen ideas.
Tyler Del Vento, founder and principal designer at TDV Design says: 'The marble island in Nate and Jeremiah's kitchen is the anchor piece that adds the drama, style, and WOW moment to this gorgeous room!'
Interior Designer Tyler Del Vento is a graduate of NYC’s Fashion Institute of Technology, and has spent many years working as a designer in Paris and NYC. Tyler is well-known for her ability to mix bold pieces with functional furnishings to create striking designs.
She continues on the design of the kitchen island, 'The details – the scalloped corners which match the edging on the tall kitchen backsplash, double layer countertop and base molding – are all swoon-worthy.'
Soledad Alzaga, a San Francisco-based interior designer also says, 'Nate and Jeremiah's kitchen is grounded by the heavy island. The marble base and top match the rest of the countertops and backsplash for a cohesive and unified look. They've added beautiful detail to the island border and base which shows it is custom-made and unique.'

Designers further love how the island is united with the marble details in the rest of Nate and Jeremiah's space.
'Marble is timeless and elegant, its use in this kitchen with the beautifully refinished parquet floor adds warmth, texture, and personality. Carrying just one material throughout the space makes this kitchen sophisticated and chic,' says Soledad.
Tyler adds, 'Using the same stone for the kitchen countertop, backsplash, and island ties everything together beautifully in an understated glamorous way.'

This chic lamp is made of genuine Himalayan salt crystals for a calming effect. The pyramid shape adds a modern flair to the organic material.
Whether you prefer colorful kitchen ideas or more neutral kitchen ideas, a statement island featuring marble will always elevate the space. Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent know it, and now you do too.
We can't wait to see Jeremiah's interior designs unfold in the new Queer Eye series, if they're anything like his stunning marble kitchen, we're in for a real treat.
