Jasper Conran London has just launched its latest summer collection with Next – and it’s filled with easy seasonal updates
Update your home for summer with soft fabrics and light and bright colors
I know a lot of people get excited for switching up their wardrobe when the seasons start to change. And of course, I love that feeling of the first day you don't have to wear such a heavy coat, putting away jumpers and getting out dresses, but I get just as much joy from changing up my home as the weather starts to warm up.
Heavy throws go back under the bed, duvets are switched out for something light and (the most exciting part) my decor gets a switch around too. It’s the interiors equivalent of finally switching your clothes from cozy and comforting to light and fresh. And the new spring/summer Jasper Conran London collection at Next is perfect for making these quick switches.
Designed by Jasper in his London studio and produced in collaboration with Next, the collection is filled with both easy switches for spring, and timeless pieces that will work all year round. The designs feel fresh and modern, with more minimalist silhouettes but still perfect for transitional spaces and would sit perfectly with any interior design style.
There are so many gorgeous pieces to shop in the collection, but these are my favorites that would be ideal for freshening up my home and updating my hosting setup too (something I do far more of in the summer).
Simple in design but bold in color, this side table is perfect for embracing the seasons colors. A splash of green gives any room a lift – a living room, a bedroom or I would love to put this in my bathroom to create a summery vignette with a pile of books and a vase of flowers.
More green! Paired with the woven seat, green almost acts like a neutral here. I'd mix and match these, order a pair in the green and a pair in the white or wood to create some contrast.
Spring and summer are hosting season for me, and I love to update my crockery as the seasons change. This subtle yet striking set would look perfect paired with a yellow gingham table cloth and vases full of fresh greenery.
Speaking of vases full of greenery, this vase would be perfect for a spring or summer tablescape. Paired with greens and white for a really fresh look in spring and then as we move further into summer, go for warmer schemes with more oranges and pinks.
If you haven't heard of the unexpected red theory, it's a classic trend involving bringing pops of red into a mainly neutral scheme. Pieces like this lamp is exactly the kind of thing I am seeing being used to embrace the style.
Just like I tend to update my crockery with the seasons, I like to add in some new glassware too. These are handmade and have a lovely unique feel to them, the stripes are handpainted. There's a matching jug too to complete the look.
I love a mirror leant against a wall, it's relaxed and cool, and really practical for checking your outfit. This design is perfect for leaning because it's slightly wider at the bottom.
Chandeliers come in many shapes and sizes, and aren't just for traditional homes. This modern take follows the lines of a classic chandelier shape and mirrors it entirely in glass. The perfect transitional piece.
I still love throws in the summer. Wrapping them around you when the evening get chillier, taking them outside on balmy evenings. This is lambswool, so super soft and the color works all year round.
Clean lines and a simple silhouette make this bedframe the perfect focal point for a modern bedroom. The jewel blue works wonderfully with so many shades, from neutrals to brights, but there is also an off white option if you want something softer.
