The Most Stylish Furniture Finds Our Editors Are Shopping on Amazon This Prime Day
Make your home feel endlessly cozy without spending a fortune by shopping Amazon's Prime Day sale
As someone who loves to shop for home decor but doesn't always have the budget (or patience) for big-ticket designer purchases, Amazon has become my secret weapon – for both its consistent affordability and its sneakily chic furniture.
From October 6th to the 7th, Amazon's Prime Day sale is filled with unmissable furniture deals. From discounted accent chairs and sleek coffee tables to affordable storage pieces you’ll use for years, these deals are genuinely impressive.
Amazon offers tons of furniture that's affordable and quick to ship – but how do you know you are getting quality as well as convenience? That's where I can help. I’ve rounded up some top-rated, editor-approved furniture picks worth shopping for your home this fall and winter.
Best Amazon Furniture Brands
According to our Content Director for Lifestyle eCommerce, Lindsey Davis, shopping by brand on Amazon is one of the best ways to find what you're looking for.
'Safavieh has a range of classic and luxe look items at a very reasonable price. Christopher Knight (yes, of Brady Bunch fame) offers some beautiful mid-century style pieces and on-trend silhouettes. Plank + Beam was a fairly recent find for me, but it is now my first stop for solid wood furniture I can build at home. Even some IKEA furniture is on there now, which is great if you can't reach one in person or are dissuaded by the delivery fees,' she explains.
Though prices tend to be lower than anywhere else, shopping for furniture on Amazon can be hit or miss. However, when you know what to look for, like solid wood frames, quality upholstery, and thoughtful design details, you can find total gems. Plus, it always helps when a piece comes highly rated by previous purchasers – this way, you know it's worth your money.

Amazon Furniture FAQs
Is Amazon a Good Place to Buy Furniture?
Yes! Hopefully the picks above have convinced you that there are some seriously chic pieces to be found on Amazon. Amazon is great for cheap, convenient furniture, but don't let that confuse you; that doesn't mean low-quality or throwaway. As long as you know how to shop Amazon, what to look for, and where to look, you can find some truly timeless, beautiful pieces.
'For those of us old enough to remember when Amazon only sold books, it isn't the first place that comes to mind when you need new furniture,' adds Lindsey Davis. 'However, as we now all know, there is little you can't get on the online retailer these days, and their furniture selection is as diverse as the rest of their categories.'
What is the Best Way to Shop Amazon for Furniture?
Personally, I like to start an Amazon search by brand or by storefront rather than by item. Of course, you can check out our list of favorite brands at the beginning of this article, and there are lots of lovely designers or influencers with GREAT storefronts to shop, so why not let them do most of the browsing for you? Lone Fox's Storefront has some great finds, and I also love to check Chris Loves Julia's page. However, the Homes & Gardens storefront is my personal favorite (even though my opinion is biased).
Lindsey also recommends being mindful of the algorithm. 'Due to the amount of choice, there is an art to shopping Amazon for furniture,' she explains. 'Remember that the majority of people shopping there are looking for affordability and speed of delivery, so the algorithm often serves the most shopped picks first – expect a range of practical storage furniture and home office essentials.'
'Amazon is popular with college students and parents furnishing kids' rooms on a budget, so you have to dig a bit more to find the more sophisticated selections. But trust me, they are there.'
Finally, the key to shopping Amazon's vast selection is the reviews. I only tend to make a purchase on Amazon if the item has a decent amount of reviews at 4-star or 5-star level, and love to scroll through customer images and reviews to get the most IRL angles of an item and pros and cons to the order (e.g. quick assembly or colors differing to images online).
When is the Best Time to Shop Amazon Furniture?
Of course, you can shop on Amazon at any time of the year and find some great deals and great shipping times. But if you want the very best furniture deals, the Amazon Prime Day sale (happening October 6th and 7th) is one of the best times to shop. After Prime Day, stay tuned as Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the holiday season will bring loads of sales to Amazon's site.
If you are looking for more stylish pieces with the Homes & Gardens stamp of approval, check out our Amazon Storefront, which is filled with gems hiding on Amazon.
