Designed by Nancy's daughter, these matchstick blinds might just be the most elegant update your windows will get all year

As someone who has spent far too many late nights scrolling through Annie Meyers-Shyer’s dreamy home renovation account, This Oak House, I can confidently say she inherited her mother Nancy Meyers’s magic touch.
Annie's home is warm, layered, and sprinkled with that Meyers movie magic. So when I heard that she had teamed up with the designer-approved window treatment brand Everhem, I immediately wanted to know more.
The result? Custom oak-toned Everhem x This Oak House matchstick blinds, the very same ones featured in her historic home in Beverly Hills, that are the perfect blend of casual window treatment ideas and the beloved Nancy Meyers aesthetic. Here's everything you need to know.
Introducing Everhem x This Oak House
Annie Meyers-Shyer's home renovation has been underway for the last 4 years, and she's dutifully brought us along the entire way via her Instagram, @thisoakhouse. 'My goals when designing the house with Mike Moser were to make it comfortable, timeless, and beautiful. I hope I achieved all three,' says Annie.
When it came to the final touches, Annie turned to Everhem to help with the vision for her window dressings and was instantly drawn to matchstick window blinds. 'I love how matchsticks offer privacy while still allowing natural light to filter through. They have a casual, informal quality, yet can easily be dressed up,' she says. 'I'm also a big fan of natural fibers in any space, and the wood adds both depth and warmth. The house truly came alive the moment the window treatments were installed!'
Woven blinds, like matchstick or chik blinds, offer a light-filtering, lived-in softness that traditional blinds cannot achieve, quietly complementing Annie’s signature mix of antiques, California casual style, and just a hint of Hollywood history.
'Everhem’s matchstick blinds are crafted from high-quality, eco-friendly bamboo, chosen for its durability and sustainability,' says Haley. 'We offer matchstick blinds in unlined, privacy-lined, or blackout-lined options.'
Everhem founder Haley Weidenbaum explains the allure behind matchstick blinds, explaining: 'Matchstick blinds have steadily gained popularity, especially among designers and design-conscious clients who value their timeless, versatile appeal.'

'Matchstick blinds are incredibly versatile and can truly work in any space. Whether it’s a cozy living room, a bright kitchen, or a peaceful bedroom, these blinds offer a natural, timeless aesthetic that complements various styles,' she adds.
Annie agrees, saying: 'I’d recommend matchstick blinds for any room! I have them in my oldest son's bedroom, where we lined them with blackout material, and in our TV room, with the same treatment,' she says of the customizable nature of the Everhem woven woods. 'The unlined version we used on both windows and doors throughout my entire house, in both formal and informal spaces. Honestly, I’d recommend using them anywhere – I certainly have!'
'They offer a striking combination of texture and lightness, creating an organic, timeless aesthetic,' says Haley. 'These blinds are perfect for filtering natural light while maintaining privacy, and they provide an effortlessly chic, earthy texture that enhances both contemporary and traditional interiors.'
And they're Nancy-approved too. The filmmaker took to her Instagram yesterday to share her love for the collaboration, saying: 'I love them!'. Us too, Nancy.
'I think they’re simple, elegant, refined, and just perfect,' Annie adds. 'I would honestly choose them over and over again. I will never tire of the matchsticks.'
Window treatments are so often an afterthought in home design, but this collab proves that they can actually be a defining design moment. In Annie’s case, that moment is pure Nancy Meyers: comforting, sun-drenched, and timeless.
