Discover the best of British-made beds and bedding with Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co.
Like strawberries and cream are inherently Wimbledon, British-made beds and mattresses are inherently Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co.
Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co. is a family-run business based in Wolferton on Norfolk’s Sandringham Estate. With over two decades of bed-making know-how, they understand what it takes to elevate your comfort and support for the ultimate sleep experience.
Longevity and sustainability are a testament to their passion for British materials, environmental practices and natural fibres. 100% British iron beds are handcrafted to order and are guaranteed to last a lifetime; with their British wool mattresses and bedding further enhancing your bedtime sanctuary with soft and enduring comfort.
As members of Made in Britain and former Royal Warrant holders to the late Queen Elizabeth, Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co.’s products are a symbol of skilled craftsmanship and British quality.
Bed Frames
Each bed is handcrafted from the finest raw materials – notably 100% British iron.
Heritage-inspired frames take design details from Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco styles, updated with a contemporary twist. With a steadfast iron core, iron, brass and nickel beds are powder-coated and plated to perfection in a myriad of finishes.
From dormitory-style curves to classic silhouettes and graphic lines, each bed is timeless, crafted with artisanal skill to transcend trends. Hand-spun finials and authentic brass bars add stately elegance, while understated cast iron feet and intricate knuckles are a testament to their signature enduring craftsmanship.
Whether you prefer a striking tall tailboard or an inviting frame without an end, Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co. can cater to your needs with a made-to-order design.
Mattresses
Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co.’s natural fibre mattress collections boast 100% British wool. The Natural Comfort collection has been created in partnership with British Wool®, while their Sandringham Wool Collection is exclusively filled with 100% hyperlocal wool from the Royal Estate. These hand-teased layers are blended with sustainably sourced fibres, including organic cotton, cashmere and silk.
Hand-sewn with traditional side-stitching and pure wool tufts, the pocket-sprung Sandringham Wool mattresses encase up to 20kg of Sandringham wool in chemical-free wool ticking for sumptuous and soothing support.
These products maintain high levels of animal welfare – such as establishing organic pastures – and promote the quality of British wool, all while showcasing wool’s abundant benefits and supporting local sheep farmers.
Bedding
Boost wool’s properties further with the cloud-like comfort of wool bedding. Envelop yourself in light layers of British wool and invite a dreamlike slumber to relax and reinvigorate your sleep.
Prolong your mattress' life with a uniquely designed wool mattress protector, or, for that final flourish, opt for a weightless wool duvet.
As recognition of British materials grows, so does the appreciation for 100% British craftsmanship, and Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co. symbolise the quality and longevity of British-made products. Their collections can not only help elevate your night’s sleep, but they can enhance your bedroom with long-lasting and timeless design, too.
