I'm a product tester, and I only recommend these 12 garden essentials in Walmart's Summer Sale
The Walmart garden essentials are high-quality but low-cost
There are a few essential garden tools that every gardener needs. Pruners, loppers, a good pair of gloves, and a decent mower are all basic equipment that you need to work in your yard.
When hunting around for new equipment to test, I was pleasantly surprised to see that some of the best lawnmowers and other tools are available for relatively low prices.
Best of all, Walmart is currently running some summer deals that can save you even more money. After trawling through the site, I've whittled it down to 12 essential gardening deals that can save you money.
This is one of my favorite lawnmowers. It's cheap, it's cordless - so there's no messing around with gas or power cords - and it does a fantastic job. It's hard to fault - perhaps the only real issue is that the deck might be a little small for larger yards.
This planter is perfect for tomatoes, but it's also great for climbing vegetables like beans and squash. It's made from recycled plastic, so it's good for the eco-conscious, but the best feature is the watering system. You can fill it with two gallons of water to make sure your plants are always perfectly watered.
The Weber Original is my favorite charcoal grill. It's inexpensive and simple, but very heat-efficient. It reaches hotter temperatures than most other charcoal grills I've tested, guaranteeing an excellent sear on meat dishes.
A good pressure washer is invaluable, making it easy to keep your patio and brickwork free from dirt. This model also comes with a foam cannon to help you clean your car.
I'm not the biggest fan of expandable hoses, but they can be a great solution if you're tight on space, or just want to water a small herb garden. They shrink to a third of their true size, so they're easy to store. This model is a great example - it comes with a hook so you can mount it next to your faucet, as well as a bag, so you can keep it neatly packed away.
A greenhouse like this can transform your gardening. Though there are fancy greenhouses out there for thousands of dollars, you can achieve the same effect with a simple model like this. It has lockable doors to keep your plants and tools safe, and plenty of ventilation to regulate the its temperature on hot days.
I've tested Fiskars tools several times and they're always excellent. I'm always a little skeptical of plastic-handled tools, but these are robust and comfortable. This is the best-value deal I've seen for Fiskars tools - two great tools for cheaper than some pruners.
This raised bed kit takes all the fuss out of building your own. Sure, you could cobble something like this yourself, but this kit has everything you need at a low price. I love the U-shaped design, too - it allows easy access to every inch of your raised beds.
I'm not a fan of everything that WORX has made, but this string trimmer is excellent. It's lightweight and does a good job, especially for tidying up grass around trees. My favorite feature is that you can turn the head 90° and use it as an edger, too, with handy wheels to ensure a clean cut.
Good patio furniture is essential for socializing in summer. This set is excellent value - it seats 9, and there's a fire table to keep you warm as the sun sets on your soirée.
