Victoria Beckham's favorite candle causes 'everyone who walks in' to talk about the 'amazing smell' – it's from a cult-favorite brand beloved by celebrities
The former Spice Girl scents her office with Diptyque's luxurious Figuier Vert candle – and the warm and woody fig fragrance is absolutely dreamy
There is nothing chicer than amazing-smelling-homes. Victoria Beckham is famously chic, so it makes sense that every space she inhabits smells amazing. The fashion designer has long expressed her love for French luxury fragrance brand Diptyque, and now she's revealed a new smell she loves: their Figuier candle.
Beckham spoke about her best candle with The Strategist, explaining: 'My flagship store on Dover Street is all about awakening the senses, and scent was a really important piece of the store experience. Over time, Diptyque’s Figuier Vert candle has become our signature fragrance — everyone who walks in always talks about the amazing smell of the store, and that’s just because of the candle. I love the warmth of fig wood so much that I often have one for my office, too.'
In my years working as a Celebrity Style writer, I've noticed that Diptyque candles are one of the most popular fragrance interior design trends among celebrities. A sniff and a glance, and it's easy to tell why. These candles smell exceptional, and the simple black and white design creates a luxurious feel in any space where it is used.
This candle doesn't just smell like figs, but like the whole fig tree, in all its green and woodiness. I especially adore the version that comes in a green vessel, and think it would look so chic in a minimalist room.
Editor's Picks of Diptyque Candles
For acolytes of Victoria Beckham, she's also expressed love for Diptyque's Feu De Bois and Baies candles as the scents she goes back and forth between, so you can scent all your spaces with her favorite fragrances. Other celebs like Kate Hudson, Brooke Shields, Beyoncé, and Kim Kardashian are huge proponents of the brand. Their picks show the versatility of these beautiful and luxurious candles.
Made in France
If there's ever a candle to burn during the winter, it's this one. Diptyque designed Feu De Bois to mimic the dense, smoky notes of the logs as they are gradually consumed into a warming fireplace.
Black, White and Glass Design
Tangy and herby, this fresh-picked blackcurrant candle is unlike any other. It is a harmonious fragrance that unites its flowery rose notes with the berry notes. Its beautiful container means it looks great on any shelf or coffee table (because who can really argue with Beckham's endorsement?
Kate Hudson's Favorite
This slow-release candle is filled with the spa-like freshness of eucalyptus leaves, melding into an enchanting green forest. Plus, the recognizable glass holder looks beautiful on any shelf. An endorsement from Kate Hudson and Brooke Shields is just the cherry on top.
Kim Kardashian's Favorite
This gorgeous floral candle fills the room with romantic notes of jasmine, and features heavily in Kim Kardashian's scent-scape. The notes that emerge are subtle yet persistent, tender yet sensual. What more could we want in a statement candle?
Another Kardashian Favorite
This full and rich candle evokes the feeling of walking through a budding rose garden in the spring. However, these flowery notes are unmistakable at any point of the year. Beloved by the Kardashians and beyond, it's a classic for a reason.
Beyoncé's Favorite
For an elevated vanilla, there's nothing better than Diptique's Vanille candle, rumored to be loved by Beyoncé. The leathery and smoky accents ground this fragrance for a sophisticated ambiance.
As demonstrated by Victoria Beckham, selecting a signature scent for your home is a simple way to feel grounded and present in your space. Perhaps, a Diptyque candle will be where you start.
