A peek inside fashion and beauty icon Victoria Beckham's closet reveals rows of neatly organized clothing and shoes, giving us lots of inspiration in the way of storage inspiration. However, a recent clip of the space has us admiring another (colorful) aspect of the enviable storage room.

A powder blue chair caught our eye in the video shared on Beckham's Instagram page, giving a unique spin to one of 2025's biggest trends: primary colors.

Rather than go for a royal or navy blue (tapping into the traditional primary color look), Beckham has opted for a soothing, light shade, which still provides contrast and visual interest in the otherwise white space, making us consider how we decorate with blue.

According to experts, blue's impact on a room is powerful. Depending on the shade, blue can completely determine a space's ambiance, and as such, blue paint and furnishings should be chosen carefully.

'Blue is more than just a color; it’s an experience that transforms any space into an oasis of calm and sophistication,' says designer Nina Lichtenstein. 'Known for its versatile charm, blue can range from the softest pastels to the deepest navies, each shade bringing its own unique ambiance to a room. When used thoughtfully in home decor, blue has the power to create spaces that feel serene, grounded, and timeless.'

She continues, 'Blue is more than just a color; it’s an experience that transforms any space into an oasis of calm and sophistication. Blue accessories also make great additions to spaces like bedrooms and home offices, where we like to wind down or focus.

'Beyond its calming influence, blue also has a grounding effect,' Lichtenstein says. This makes it perfect for a hectic space (such as a walk-in closet), where you're likely to spend time rushing and rooting through drawers before you head out of the door.

'When used as a primary color in a room, blue can anchor the space, providing a stable backdrop that allows other elements to shine. This versatility makes blue a go-to for designers seeking to create interiors that are both stylish and serene.'

If your closet is not large enough for a sofa, consider adding other blue accessories, such as hangers or even a step-stool to achieve the same color infusion as Beckham.
