I'm a celebrity style editor, and this Trisha Yearwood-designed armchair is a work of art – it's one of the most intricate pieces I've seen this year
The chair, which pays homage to Jasper County, SC, is ornate but so functional – it's hidden deep on Wayfair with over 34% off

As a celebrity style editor, scouting the internet for celeb-designed deals is one of my favorite parts of my day-to-day. This week, I found myself deep on Wayfair, where Trisha Yearwood is one of many Homes & Gardens favorites (along with Martha Stewart and Kelly Clarkson, no less) with a collection that deserves to take center stage.
As you might expect from a country singer, Trisha Yearwood's collection is traditional yet luxurious, lending itself to a farmhouse decor style. All pieces have a refined charm, but arguably nothing makes a statement quite like her Wing Back Armchair (available at Wayfair), a piece that I keep returning to time and time again.
I love this chair's versatile, neutral upholstery and how it's made from precision-cut materials for strength and durability. However, it's the ornate, patterned back that truly sets this piece aside.
Not every armchair has the ability to impress in the same way as the Jasper County wingback. Its delicate print makes a subtle yet beautiful statement. It has the right amount of detail to stand as a focal point, but it doesn't feel overwhelming. A very fine art that Trisha has perfected with this piece.
As Trisha reminds us, the power of the perfect chair shouldn't be overlooked. They have the potential to completely upgrade a corner of your room while feeling somewhat personal. David Harris, the design director at the global design house at Andrew Martin, agrees.
'An accent chair can create a striking focal point, effortlessly updating the look and feel of a room. It's a simple yet powerful way to introduce style and personality into any interior, from living rooms and bedrooms to home offices and reading nooks,' he says.
With its beautiful detail, the Jasper County armchair is a failsafe starting point. However, David has yet more suggestions for chic textures that will instantly upgrade your room.
'Rich velvets add a touch of opulence, and bold patterns infuse vibrancy and energy. Neutral linens offer a timeless and understated elegance, while boucle brings an element of texture that remains timeless and cool,' he says.
Design expertise in your inbox – from inspiring decorating ideas and beautiful celebrity homes to practical gardening advice and shopping round-ups.
'Each fabric selection can dramatically alter the room's ambiance, making accent chairs not just practical seating, but a key aesthetic element of the design scheme.'
I've rounded up some more of my all-time favorite celebrity-designed chairs below. With these, you're in safe hands.
The ideal accent seat, in our opinion. Soft but sturdy, in a gorgeous, burnt-orange meets brown hue, the price is right on this piece of furniture. It's the most accessible way to tap into the retro trend and make a statement while doing so.
The rattan armchair features an upholstered attached seat and back cushion in an elegant striped print. Its '60s-inspired rattan body perfectly complements the coastal-inspired upholstery, making it the perfect addition to any Hamptons-style living room.
This chair, with its classic design and elegant silhouette, stands as a testament to both style and comfort. Its expertly crafted sturdy wood frame blends durability with easy elegance and will be the perfect accent piece in any home.
