To say Tom Brady's athleticism has been well-documented is an understatement. As the former QB of the New England Patriots, health and fitness is a major part of the NFL player's life, and as such, he occasionally shares his favorite recipes on his Instagram page.

A recent video in particular grabbed our attention. The football player shows us how he makes his signature TB12 smoothie, and while the beverage itself looks delicious, we were naturally interested in his surroundings; in particular, the lack of clutter around his Nutribullet blender.

Naturally, appliances can be bulky – between essential items such as microwaves, toasters, kettles, and the aforementioned blenders, countertop real estate can become a hot commodity, particularly in smaller kitchens. As such, it is crucial to be as economical as possible when selecting which appliances get prime counter space, as experts explain.

'Declutter your kitchen regularly by assessing kitchen items and donating or discarding items that are broken or no longer used,' says Molly Chandler, designer at Willis & Stone. 'It’s also a good idea to anticipate future storage needs by designing flexible solutions that can adapt to changing lifestyles.'

As we can see in the clip, Brady seems to use the Nutribullet daily for his protein smoothie, so it makes sense that it would get a coveted spot on his countertop.

Another aspect of kitchen appliance storage to keep in mind is utilizing cabinets to hide away less frequently used pieces, as well as implementing new storage solutions.

'Think about storage for small appliances, technology integration, and potential changes in the household,' Chandler says. 'Tech-savvy individuals may need storage solutions for kitchen gadgets, charging stations, and the integration of smart appliances.'

Finally, Chandler recommends eliminating any cables or kitchen appliances that are not especially visually pleasing unless they are in use, as they can be eyesores.

'Consider incorporating hidden outlets and dedicated spaces for electronic devices,' Chandler states. 'By carefully considering these aspects during the planning phase, you can create a kitchen that is not only functional and stylish but also provides efficient storage solutions tailored to your lifestyle.'

A bonus of the Nutribullet, in this case, is its sleek and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Slim yet robust, these blenders fit in seamlessly on counters and come in a variety of colorways. Additionally, its glass top complements existing glass details and contrasts wood accents in the kitchen.

Overall, we recommend being strategic with kitchen appliances. Consider how often the appliance will be used, and how often the item will be displayed. Furthermore, have fun with colors and models of items like blenders and kettles – they can be decor in their own right.
