Burning a candle is more than just its fragrance. When it's stored in the right vessel, it becomes a decorative accent. Depending on the brand, it can also tell a story about the people who live in the home. Ryan Seacrest's favorite fragrance from Trudon is full of history.

Seacrest shared his take on the best candle in an interview with The Strategist. He stated: 'I do love candles. I light them as soon as I get home in the evening, and I keep them lit throughout the course of the evening. But this brand and this scent just really relaxes,' referencing the Trudon Abd El Kader Scented Candle. He continues: 'It’s nice, it’s not too strong, it’s elegant, and it’s a very old candlemaker. It was founded in the 1600s, so they’ve been around for a while.'

Trudon was founded in 1643 and is described as the oldest manufacturer in the world. Sticking true to their roots, each home fragrance is still dripped and made by hand. Its fragrances are inspired by history, biblical passages, royalty, and revolutionaries. At one time, Trudon's candles lit the courts of Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette at Château de Versailles.

More than just a passing love the candles are a signature scent in Ryan Seacrest's home. He explains: 'In my New York apartment, they are in front of my sofa on the coffee tables. There’s two in the bedroom, there’s one in the bathroom.' Layering up on a fragrance you love is a wonderful way to make a house feel like a home. Here are some of the other fragrances that famous people you love use.
