These Property Brother-approved 'low lift' essentials will 'shake up' our bathrooms when they need it the most
Drew and Jonathan Scott's bite-sized bathroom upgrades include plush towels and versatile rugs – all available here
Bathrooms are often parts of the home that could use a TLC. Replacing towels or painting the walls are just the first steps; though water closets are often some of the smallest rooms in the home, there are many fine details to be considered when updating them. That's where the Property Brothers, AKA Drew and Jonathan Scott, come into play.
W Network's favorite home improvement duo has unveiled their list of bathroom decor ideas, which are both practical and aesthetically pleasing – and there's no better season to follow suit.
'Winter is a great time to shake up your bathroom style because we’re inside so much more,' they comment on their 'low lift' ideas.
A combination of amenities and tasteful accents are key in creating a clean and modern bathroom. The brothers' Scott Living line includes essentials such as bath rugs, vanities, and towels, but they also recommend unexpected additions, such as unique wall decor.

Beyond furniture and accessories, Drew and Jonathan have provided some excellent bathroom remodeling tips over the years. When it comes to tiles, the brothers say out with the natural stone and in with porcelain – especially if you have a steam shower.
'Nonporous tiles like porcelain won’t absorb the heat the same way as natural stone will,' Jonathan said on Celebrity IOU.
Additionally, when working with a windowed bathroom, the brothers stress the importance of glass choice; that is, one that won't reveal everything happening inside.

'Here’s the thing. If I’m in the bathroom after showering, will the neighbor be seeing a lot? Is there something maybe a little bit more where the texture or the color of the glass is giving you, like, a little bit more privacy?' questioned Drew.
It turns out that reeded glass is the ideal material for subtle privacy. 'You can tell there’s a figure in here, but you can’t tell if it’s naked or not.'
