Patrick and Brittany Mahomes' nursery is an adorable masterclass in personalizing a child's space – and it will grow with their baby
The iconic couple partnered with Crate & Kids to design Golden Raye, their third child's, nursery – it's a bespoke vision in baby pink
Designing a nursery is just as much for the parents as for the new baby. As a space you will doubtless end up spending a significant portion of each day, it's important to design for your own tastes and comfort. Patrick and Brittany Mahomes's bedroom for their daughter, Golden Raye, embodies this balance.
To bring their nursery idea to life, the couple worked with the Crate & Kids design desk. They combined forces to create a space that is both sweet and highly personalized for their daughter. The walls alternate baby pink and white and gold sunburst wallpaper. A gray rug and off-white furnishings ground the more whimsical aspects of the design. Golden Raye's monogram features throughout.
Brittany tells Homes & Gardens of the kid's room idea: 'We took inspiration from her name, Golden Raye, with gold accents and sun-inspired elements like the wallpaper and accessories. All of the personalized items just make the room feel so special. I love seeing her little monogram on the crib quilt.'

Swivel Technology
This cozy Sherpa Chair is perfect for reading to your little one at night. Brittany Mahomes loves using it with a matching Ottoman. She explains: 'I love that it has a footrest so that we can adjust it to what’s comfortable for both Patrick and me. It also has a high back, solid arm rests and the softest material.'
Stylish Shape
This cozy sherpa ottoman coordinates perfectly with the chair for a cozy and comfortable place to land. I love the way its light brown color matches with light pink in a nursery, but it could also be used in a living room
Modern Look
Brittany Mahomes effuses, 'I am loving the whitewashed look! It feels very feminine and cozy.' When your baby grows, this mid-century modern-style crib can be updated with a toddler protection rail to turn it into a bed for young children.
Monograms reign in the nursery, appearing on the wall and on Golden Raye's baby blanket. They create a highly personalized way to design a child's room.
In addition to the monograms of Golden Raye's name, the space is personalized with a large print and small gallery wall. This instantly makes the room feel more sophisticated, yet playful. Displaying your child's artwork is always a wonderful method to acheive this balance.
Uniquely decorated vignettes feature a variety of books and toys that double as decor. Vertical shelving a decorative hooks represent a wonderful method for organizing your kids room. It keeps things off the floor by giving them a place to reside, while adding a stylized edge.
Furnishings designed for adult comfort, elevated decor, and personalization ensure that Patrick and Brittany Mahome's nursery will grow with their family. It goes to show that, ultimately, the rules for decorating for children are not that different than decorating for grown-ups.
