Pamela Anderson 'doesn't look at laundry as a chore' – these are her 5 simple but effective steps for making this household task fun
The effervescent Pamela Anderson makes one of our most dreaded tasks into a celebration of joy, luxury, and cleanliness with these easy tricks
Since the release of her cookbook, I Love You, Pamela Anderson has been the blueprint for all things homemaking. Her natural and gentle approach to cleaning, cooking, and decorating seem to move at just the pace the culture is atuned to in the current moment. Now, Anderson is bringing this ethos to one of the most widely dreaded household chores: laundry.
'I love doing laundry, that's why I partnered with The Laundress,' the actress explains in a recent YouTube video with the luxury detergent brand. 'I don't look at laundry as a chore. I look at it as a time to kind of getaway, time for yourself. It's meditative, I play a little music. This is honestly, my happy place,' she smiles looking around at her all-white laundry room. 'I have two boys and I've always had white houses and lots of white blankets so yeah it's always been a journey.'
What are the laundry hacks that Anderson uses to make washing up fun? For one, she opts for premium laundry care that she loves the fragrance in. ''The good thing is, this already smells good,' she smiles, holding up a bottle of The Laundress's Signature Detergent. 'I'm obsessed with roses, and this smells like roses. You just got to have fun with everything you do. I think that's been kind of my thing is that no matter what you're doing you're just having some fun.' Something as simple as fragrance can add this pop of brightness.
Fresh Scent
Pamela swears by keeping her whites white with this innovative, wonderful-smelling detergent. It's one of The Laundress's best sellers for a reason.

Give your laundry the care it deserves with this beautiful, gentle detergent. Perfect for washing sleepwear, lingerie, and evening wear. No dry cleaner' required.
Classic
The product that made The Laundress famous, the signature detergent smells just as good as it looks. It's perfect for washing just about anything.
Anderson's laundry hacks don't stop there. She also makes the process fun by adding music, and a beverage. The actress tells The Laundress: 'For laundry day, I love Elvis and Nina Simone.' While she dances around her laundry room, she sips on a cup of coffee, or the occasional glass of rose.
She keeps her laundry routine fresh by drying fabrics outside whenever possible. 'I like to take advantage of the crisp, morning air. It also helps to change up the scenery!' explains Anderson. In the video, we see her hanging her beautiful white sheets by the water near her home. With a view like that, who could complain. this idea fits in well with Anderson's final advice for making laundry fun, which is to maintain a light heart. She exclaims: 'No matter what your routine is, just make sure you’re having some fun.'
According to Pamela Anderson, enjoying laundry is all about integrating joy into the small things. Using the most fabulous smelling detergent doesn't hurt either.
