Miranda Lambert's calming front porch taps into an evergreen trend – and nature's favorite color has curb appeal
The singer's green-painted porch brightens up the front of her property while honing in on colors and textures found in the natural world
For some, a porch is an oasis; a second living room, where seating is plenty and paint colors are considered with just as much thought. Miranda Lambert is in this porch-loving camp.
The singer recently shared a clip to her Instagram page sitting on a rattan seat with her green-painted walls in view. Her green walls are lightly paneled with a cool, grounding hue. We love the boldness of her color choice, and it has made us consider how to decorate with green paint. It turns out the benefits are plentiful.
According to experts, the color green, which is a staple within design schemes such as Japandi and organic modern, is beneficial to a home's value in addition to being visually pleasing. 'Decorating a front porch or home exterior with green paint can make a bold and inviting statement that not only enhances curb appeal but can also subtly boost a home’s value,' says Westchester-based designer, Nina Lichtenstein. 'Green, in its many shades, is a versatile choice that connects a home to its natural surroundings, making it a favorite among designers and homeowners alike.'

It's the perfect shade for outdoor walls. Lichtenstein continues, 'From deep forest tones to fresh sage and olive, green paint on an exterior creates an ambiance of calm and timeless charm. It’s a color that feels grounded and enduring, adding a feeling of warmth while harmonizing beautifully with both contemporary and traditional architectural styles. Darker greens, like hunter or emerald, are especially impactful on front doors or shutters, where they add depth and sophistication. Softer shades, such as sage or mint, feel refreshing and approachable, creating a welcoming vibe that invites guests in with a sense of tranquility.'
Green also taps into the ever-enduring natural and organic modern decor trend, which favors earthy and sustainable materials. Lichtenstein explains: 'As green tones rise in popularity, they’re increasingly seen as both stylish and sustainable choices, aligning with a larger trend toward natural, earth-inspired palettes in home design. This shift has made green a sought-after color that buyers find appealing, whether it’s on a cozy bungalow or a stately colonial.'

Its versatility in shade and style allows it to stand out while blending perfectly into natural landscapes, offering a harmonious, elevated look that can make any home feel both refreshed and rooted in nature.'
