Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher's Santa Barbara beach house is available for rent – for free
The couple's tiny 'home away from home' is a trove of compact design ideas – nestled between the Santa Ynez mountains and the Pacific
There's a curious new trend of celebrities listing their homes on Airbnb, and Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are the latest to follow suit.
Only two weeks after Gwyneth Paltrow listed her Montecito guesthouse, That 70's Show stars Mila and Ashton announced they were renting their beach house for one night via Airbnb – and it comes with a price tag of $0.
'I have a really dumb idea,' Ashton announced to Mila in a recent Instagram reel. 'I think we should have complete strangers come and stay with us at the beach.' And that he did. The listing is now available on Airbnb – but you need to be quick – as the stay will take place this Saturday, August 19th.
'Our Santa Barbara County beach house is our home away from home, especially when we're in need of some R&R (you fellow parents know what we're talking about),' they say.
Enveloped between the mountains and the ocean, the home boasts beautiful views of SoCal's most beautiful natural assets – best observed from the hot tub on the terrace.
'Steps from the beach, and with beautiful views of the Santa Ynez mountains, you'll find no shortage of sights and plenty of activities to make for an unforgettable summer stay,' the couple says. Inside, however, we really see clever small-room design inspiration come to play.
With its size-enhancing white-and-blue color palette aside, the home masters small space storage through its cleverly placed shelving – best seen in the kitchen. Instead of using their window for storage, Mila and Ashton chose to discreetly store glassware on a floating shelf above their cabinetry – turning practical items into decorative ornaments, naturally.

The space is equally practical when it comes to bedrooms too. Alongside the main bedroom suite, the home has a second bedroom complete with a bunk bed and an extra single bed hidden neatly in the corner.
Interiors aside, this listing comes with yet more notable perks that are worth the mention. Not least, Mila and Ashton will be there to greet the guests personally on arrival before enjoying meals and snacks in the beach house. 'Plus, we'll capture some content together to commemorate your SoCal stay,' the couple adds.
While the stay will cost $0 for the guests, Airbnb has announced they will make a one-off donation to the charity Thorn to celebrate the occasion. More information is available via the listing.
And, while we can't all enjoy a night at Mila and Ashton's home, we can still replicate their coastal aesthetic with this guidebook below.
