Christmas cookie season may be over, but that doesn't stop us from revisiting an appliance that makes the baking process seamless. Last December, actress Luisana Lopilato (who is married to Michael Bublé) shared a behind-the-scenes of her cookie-making experience, all of which was made simple by her Thermomix appliance.

It appears as though Lopilato has the Thermomix TM6 model, the same appliance that received four and a half stars during the Homes & Gardens review process. After seeing how quickly (and simply) it creates perfect cookie dough, our review rings true. 'This machine solves everything for you. I really can’t lie. With this, I [will] make you some cookies,' Lopilato says. She fills the bowl with sugar, butter, and flour before choosing one of its 28 settings for perfect results.

Invented in 1971 and continually reimagined by German engineers ever since, Thermomix has won a place on several celebrity kitchen countertops, from Bublé and Lopilato to Whoopi Goldberg who previously featured it in her gift guide. The Thermomix TM6 (available from the retailer) is arguably the most popular model to date, so if you're thinking about investing, Lopilato's (unintentional) endorsement may well be your sign.

Naturally, the Thermomix TM6 is one of the most professional multifunctional appliances money can buy, but we admit it does come with a significant price tag. If you'd like to try your hand at a similar machine (maybe even to test how often you'd use something with a similar ability, then the Ninja Foodi 14-in-1 (available on Amazon) is a great alternative.

To start, we also gave the Ninja Foodi a multi-cooker 4.5 stars in our review, the same rating as the Thermomix TM6, but at a more accessible price point. However, it's worth noting that this appliance has a reported 14 settings compared to the Thermomix's 28, in terms of everyday functionality, the Ninja Foodi covers all of the cooking methods you are most likely to use. If you want more advanced features like Wifi connectivity, a sleek touch screen, and built-in stirring, Thermomix is the best option, but it comes at a price.

It also goes without saying that we wouldn't judge you for making Christmas cookies in any model you choose (even if it is January).
