Meghan Markle uses this simple Belgian waffle maker for a 'restaurant-style' breakfast at home – it's currently under $70
We spotted this easy-to-use appliance on the countertops in Meghan's Montecito kitchen – it's loved for its professional quality and clever nonstick functions

Here on the celebrity style team, we love it when we spot the world's most notable figures using ultra-affordable kitchen appliances. Most recently, this was the case with Meghan Markle, who shared her family's St Patrick's Day breakfast via an Instagram story. Naturally, the event called for green waffles, but we were less distracted by the color when her appliance stole the show.
Specifically, Meghan uses the Cuisinart Maker Waffle-Iron (available at Amazon) in the black and stainless steel colorway. The Duchess could have her pick of any kitchen appliance on the market, but when it comes to waffles, her choice is oh-so affordable. It's currently reduced on Amazon, where it's selling for under $70, so you can get a piece of the Montecito lifestyle for a refreshingly accessible price.
Featuring an easy-to-handle rotary feature, this easy to use waffle maker allows you to create evenly baked waffles in minutes. It has a 6-setting browning control and a blue LED ready indicator light to ensure you know exactly when your waffle is cooked to perfection. You’ve also got 1-inch deep batter pockets for thick delicious waffles, whether they're green or not.
A quick look at the waffle maker's specifications shows exactly why it's a favorite with Meghan.
Cuisinart notes that this 1000-watt Belgian round maker is favored for its 'professional quality for home use' and creates 'extra-deep restaurant-style waffles' easily. This means you can enjoy a diner-like experience from your own breakfast nook – pefect for slow Saturday mornings or a late night treat (when paired with ice cream, of course).
Functionality aside, Homes & Gardens' Head of Interior Design, Hebe Hatton, reassures that this piece deserves a spot on even the smallest of kitchen countertops.
'The black and stainless steel exterior is simple and fussy, but this also means it's incredibly versatile,' Hebe says. It will fit just as well on a white marble counter as on a darker gray or black setting. You don't need to worry about hiding this waffle maker away. If it's good enough to deserve a place on Meghan's Montecito counters, that's good enough for us.'
It's our job to keep an eye on the appliances celebrities love, so if you're looking for another celebrity-endorsed waffle maker, you're in luck. We recently discovered Demi Lovato designed an even more affordable maker for Bella, and it's currently retailing for only $24.99 at Walmart. This is almost going to make getting out of bed easier.
