Martyn Lawrence Bullard's floral Thanksgiving table setting is all of the last-minute decorating inspiration we need
The famed interior designer's Thanksgiving table is innovatively decorated in flowers and fruit
It's Thanksgiving and you have everything planned to a T: the turkey, the mashed potatoes, the pies, oh no! Somehow, in all your cooking, table decor has fallen to the wayside. If this describes you, you're in luck because Martyn Lawrence Bullard has shared images of his holiday tablescape. The design is so beautiful, inspiring, and easy to recreate.
Martyn Lawrence Bullard is an acclaimed interior designer who has decorated homes for some of the biggest entertainers of our time including Cher, RuPaul Charles, and three of the Kardashian sisters. The Thanksgiving table setting in his dining room is just as enchanting as the rest of his designs. The stylish pink and green table decor includes silver candlesticks, green placemats, plates, and wine glasses. In the middle of the table, pink, orange, and yellow flowers and fruits form a fresh and lively centerpiece.

'This is such a fun moment and special treat for his guests,' says Nicole Cullum, interior designer and founder of home décor line Color Caravan about Martyn's Thanksgiving table decor. She continues, 'The emerald green of the glasses and plates is expertly balanced with a light wood table, neutral linens, and pops of contrasting pomegranate reds and greenery. Emerald is a deep, enchanting green that really comes to life when paired with earthy wood tones, reds, and oranges.'
Nicole Cullum is an interior designer in Taos, New Mexico, and Founder of Color Caravan, a charming hand-painted line of wallpaper, textiles, bedding, and home decor.
Jennifer Ebert, Digital Editor at Homes & Gardens adds, 'I love the effect of incorporating lots of greenery and fresh elements, like fruit, into a tablescape.' She continues, 'It makes the table feel so alive and helps make it look much more colorful. Plus, it's super easy to put together on short notice if you have some citrus fruit lying around.'
Jen is the Editor (Digital) of Homes & Gardens. Before starting this position, she had completed various interior design courses at KLC Design School, as well as working across Ideal Home, LivingEtc, 25 Beautiful Homes and Country Homes & Interiors as an interiors writer.
For those interested in recreating Martyn's iconic Thanksgiving table setting, Nicole says, 'Kick your Thanksgiving table up a notch by incorporating this electric color palette into your centerpiece decor with bright green apples, pomegranates, and oranges tucked amongst fall greenery in a pretty wood tray or butcher block charcuterie board. Match your table settings with lime green linens and place cards for a full, vibrant effect.'
These handmade candlesticks were created by skilled artisans in Utter Pradesh, India. The seven different sizes work harmoniously together to create a visually interesting table.
Although we're lucky to have Martyn here for last-minute Thanksgiving decorating inspiration, this won't always be the case. Get started by reading our Christmas table decor ideas now and never get caught off guard on holiday decor again.
