Lana Condor's unapologetically feminine 'glam room' is color-drenched in a surprisingly versatile shade – designers say it evokes elegance and warmth
A soft, stunning, and preternaturally charming shade brings a cozy mood to the walls, ceilings, and floors of the actress's stylish dressing room

Pink is stunning. There is a misconception that the shade is very specific, or very trendy, but this couldn't be further from the case. It can be used to infuse a sense of romance and softness into any space. Lana Condor's 'glam room' proves it.
The To All The Boys I've Loved Before actress knew she wanted a striking dressing room when she set out to design her home with interior designer Joseph Monsour. Her finished product certainly lives up to the vision. The entire room is drenched in dusty pink; from the textural carpet, to the shelved walls, to the butterflied ceiling. Lana's magazine covers adorn her vanity mirror, and a curved pink and blue chaise longue adds a sense of luxury.
Decorating a pink room can bring a multitude of positive, unexpected consequences. Nina Lichtenstein, Westchester-based interior designer explains: 'Decorating a home with pink can transform your space into a haven of elegance, warmth, and charm. Often associated with love, tranquility, and sophistication, pink evokes a variety of moods depending on its shade and the context in which it is used. From soft blushes to vibrant fuchsias, pink is a versatile color that can enhance any room when used thoughtfully.'

The effect of color drenching with pink changes based on the shade used. 'Pink is a color that naturally evokes feelings of calmness and compassion,' states Nina Lichtenstein. Soft, pastel pinks create a serene and soothing environment, ideal for relaxation and contemplation. In contrast, brighter, bolder pinks can energize a space, infusing it with vibrancy and creativity. Pink's ability to evoke such diverse moods makes it a valuable tool in home decoration, capable of adapting to different atmospheres and purposes.'
If you want to color drench in a small space like Lana Condor, the experts recommend attention to balance, texture, and pattern. Nina Lichtenstein advises: 'When decorating with pink, balance is key. Use pink as an accent color against a backdrop of neutral tones to prevent the space from feeling overwhelming. Pink cushions, throws, or artwork can add pops of color without dominating the room. Incorporate various textures to add depth and interest to a pink space. Good options are velvet pink pillows, silk curtains, or a plush pink rug. Mixing materials creates a rich, layered look that enhances the color's appeal. Patterns can add dimension and personality to a pink-themed room. Consider floral patterns, geometric designs, or subtle stripes in shades of pink and complementary colors.'
When designed carefully, any color can be versatile and impactful. Pink is a great place to start.
