Kris Jenner sleeps on these surprisingly affordable bed sheets − I've been testing them for three months, and I've never had more restful evenings

The Kardashian matriarch calls these the 'softest sheets I have ever felt,' and as a bedding expert, I agree – they've upgraded my sleep routine

Sometimes hailed as ‘American royalty’, the Kardashian family is the country’s go-to inspiration when it comes to luxury. ‘Momager’ Kris Jenner is famously in the know. So, when she recommended the Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set, I was immediately intrigued.

Jenner recently posted an Instagram story from her bedroom, where her bed is dressed in the Cozy Earth Bamboo Bed Sheets. ‘These are my absolute favorite sheets because they are temperature-regulating, keeping you cool all night long,’ she exclaims: good news for anyone who suffers from night sweats or hot flashes. ‘Honestly, they are the softest sheets I have ever felt. I have never felt anything softer than my Cozy Earth sheets, which is why I sleep on them every single night - they are my go-to gift this year!’

High praise. Still, I have a healthy skepticism of celebrity endorsements, so I wanted to try the sheets for myself. I know a thing or two about the best bed sheets: in fact, I spent the first year of my career in the luxury bedding industry. Having tried super-soft, ultra-soft sheets from all the best places to buy bedding, including Matouk, Frette, and Sferra, I wondered how Cozy Earth could compare.

Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set – my honest review

Three months into sleeping on my Cozy Earth sheets, I'm seriously impressed. This is some of the best luxury bedding I've sampled. I am a religious bi-weekly sheet washer, so I alternate with another set, but I always look forward to putting my bamboo sheets back on my bed. As opposed to my cotton sheets (which, admittedly, were the best affordable bed sheets I could find), this bamboo set feels much smoother and softer on my skin. My Cozy Earth bedding also feels more breathable. The sheets do feel quite thin, but I've still been sleeping comfortably through the winter months. I'm curious to see how they will hold up over time in terms of pilling, especially with frequent washing, but so far, so good.

  • Hot sleepers: out of all the bed sheet types, bamboo is one of the most breathable. Like most natural fibers, bamboo is thermoregulating with excellent moisture-wicking properties to fight your night sweats. Also, bamboo is naturally antimicrobial, built to bust the bacteria that breed in warm, damp environments, such as beds.
  • Eco-conscious shoppers: according to ettitude, bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants on the planet, growing three times as fast as we can harvest it. Shopping for bamboo sheets might be expensive, but it's far more sustainable and cost-effective than buying several sets of low-quality polyester or microfiber sheets.
  • Anyone who likes silky sheets: I love the smooth finish of the sateen weave. Of course, if you're looking for something with a little more texture, I suggest you shop for the best linen sheets, instead.

What's it like to sleep on the Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set?

The cooling sheets arrived in a large cardboard box, packed inside an adorable white tote bag. Cozy Earth also sent me another one of Kris's favorite gifts, the Cuddle Blanket, packed in a striped tote. To me, it's these little touches that denote truly luxury bedding. If you're planning to give the bedding as a gift, the tote makes a wonderful piece of built-in wrapping. It also means the sheets are easier to store while not in use.

However, the real excitement didn't start until I took the sheets out of the packaging. They felt buttery, silky smooth. I ran them through the washing machine before putting them on my bed. After air drying, they came out a bit wrinkled, but even softer. If you prefer a smoother sheet, I would recommend tumble-drying or ironing before putting them on the bed. The set included a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and two pillowcases. Though I didn't sleep with the flat sheet from my previous cotton set, I started using the top sheet from the Cozy Earth set because it's honestly softer than anything else on my bed.

That first night, I climbed into bed in a shorts and tank top pajama set. Yes, it was a cold winter's night, but I couldn't get enough of the feel of the sheets against my skin. At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, my partner literally gasped in disbelief at how soft they were after slipping into them. I truly can't emphasize enough how silky these sheets are. Even if you prefer crisper percale bedding, I think these sateen sheets are a good choice because of their lightness and breathability.

How does the Cozy Earth Sheet Set rate online?

The Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set boasts a 4.9 average star rating from 8,561 verified reviews. 93% of customers say they’d recommend the sheets to friends and family. Several reviews are from repeat customers, who have got so many compliments about the Cozy Earth sheets in their guest room that they’ve bought a second set for their master suite.

‘One week in with these sheets and I am blown away,' reads one recent review. They are so silky and beautiful. And on top of that, I am finally not waking up multiple times a night sweaty and hot. They stay at the perfect temperature all night long. Will definitely be a life long customer.’

There are a smattering of more mixed reviews, most of which concern the oversized nature of the top sheet, which makes for a dramatic drape. Just make sure to tuck your top sheet beneath the mattress to keep your bed looking neat and tidy. If you don't know how, it's worth learning how to make a bed the right way.

Should I buy the Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set?

Yes. The Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheet Set retails for $264.80 for a Queen. That's pretty reasonable for bamboo, which is one of the more expensive materials on the market. Three months in, the Cozy Earth sleep experience is definitely living up to first impressions. I am chronically cold and sometimes suffer from insomnia, but I haven't had any problems since starting to use these bamboo sheets. I think it partially comes from the relaxation that I get from the way they make my bedroom so luxurious. No matter what is going on in my life, I know that when I get into bed, I'll be immersed in cloud-like opulence.

Using these sheets hasn't turned me into Kris Jenner, but sleeping like her has helped to remind me the power of the little things in overall happiness. Ultimately, it's the tiny luxuries that make all the difference, and I've found Jenner's sheets a great place to start.
