The Kardashian clan's homes provide ample interior design inspo – with each member distinctly approaching their home's stylings (and enlisting the best of the best to help them do so).

However, our latest fixation is Kourtney Kardashian's screening room, which we caught a glimpse of over on Martyn Lawrence Bullard's Instagram page. The space grey room has a monochromatic feel, though it's delightfully disrupted thanks to a striking, sky-inspired art piece.

'Clad in grey suede with the biggest, deepest, sexiest U-shaped sofa, a fabulous built-in bar, and an amazing Doug Aitken art piece, the room exudes modern glamour and true Kourtney style,' Bullard states in the caption. Needless to say, the space is giving us some insight into how to decorate with gray (and around gray) – a color that is anything but out of style.

According to experts, adding pops of color is one of the most surefire ways to make a gray room more visually engaging.

'Gray pairs beautifully with almost any accent color, so don’t hesitate to incorporate vibrant accessories,' says designer Nina Lichtenstein. 'Consider adding yellow or teal cushions, cobalt blue planters, or even terracotta pottery to infuse warmth into your gray space. For a nature-inspired feel, throw in some greenery. Planters filled with vibrant flowers or leafy plants will create a lush, organic counterbalance to the gray.'

She continues, 'Introduce patterns through outdoor rugs, pillows, or cushions to break up the solid gray tones. Stripes, geometric designs, or floral motifs in contrasting colors like white, navy, or mustard can provide a striking contrast that adds energy to the space while still maintaining an elegant look.'

In addition to introducing a statement piece like Kardashian's artwork, implementing texture is a fantastic way to ensure that a gray space remains visually appealing.

'Add dimension to your gray palette by incorporating a variety of textures,' Lichtenstein suggests. 'A concrete patio table paired with soft, plush gray cushions introduces a tactile contrast. Mix woven wicker furniture with sleek metal or aluminum chairs in a weathered gray finish for a textural interplay that’s both chic and practical.'

Textured rugs are also fantastic for this strategy, along with metallic finishes. These look great in a media room (like Kardashian's), but also in a traditonal living space or family room.
