Early December means Christmas trees are cropping up in a healthy harvest, and we are taking cues from the biggest and brightest for inspiration.

Khloe Kardashian is just one example of adopting a glamorous approach to Christmas. As seen on her Instagram page, the reality TV star has opted for a white and gold color scheme on her tree, evoking the spirit of a winter wonderland with some luxe details.

The white pine needles on the Christmas tree are accentuated by gold lights, which create a warm glow to contrast the icy hue. White, pearly ornaments add some sheen and texture to the tree as well, without distracting from the color scheme.

Though the appearance is luxurious, it is super simple to recreate. Start with a base of a white tree, then add some white lights and pearlescent baubles to achieve a sophisticated and chic appearance. Shop the look below.

'Khloe Kardashian's Christmas tree breaks away from the traditonal green we've all come to love and expect over the holidays – but it's nonetheless timeless. While, sometimes, I'm weary of trees that break away from natural green, Kardashian has designed an ultra-luxe set-up that will look good year after year,' comments Megan Slack, the head of celebrity news here at Homes & Gardens.

'The addition of gold lights and beautiful pearlescent ornaments create a luxurious finish that feels both modern and regal. She's almost convinced me to break away from tradition myself this Christmas.'
