John Legend is turning our homes into 'places of love, beauty and comfort' with 5 furniture pieces
John Legend's collaboration with Rove Concepts is bringing furniture inspired by the artist's life and style to every home - here's everything you need to know
John Legend's Journeys collection with Rove Concepts has arrived! The iconic brand's latest drop is inspired by John Legend's life and style moments, drawing on his music, commitment to impactful social causes, and creativity. It features 5 gorgeous pieces of furniture ranging from an endlessly versatile sectional to an organic minimalist coffee table.
The collaboration is more than a typical celebrity home brand: the campaign has a notable lifestyle component. The Journey's Collection Composed by John Legend promotes creativity and encourages self-expression. Not only is this embodied in the campaign and the designs of the furniture pieces, but Rove is hosting a giveaway alongside the new launch. One lucky winner will be awarded an all-expenses paid trip to Los Angeles including an exclusive, secret event with John Legend on Monday, September 23.
'I really love curating our physical space. We spend so much time in our homes, whether by ourselves, with our immediate families or entertaining guests,' Legend tells Homes & Gardens of his Japandi style collection. He continues, 'I’m so excited to collaborate with Rove Concepts to help people shape their own environments to be a place of love, beauty, and comfort.'
This combination of beauty and comfort comes through in every aspect of the campaign. For an ultra-cool feel, the imagery was shot on 35mm film. Produced by Denim and directed by Theo Skurda with Marz Miller as the Director of Photography, the photos feel at once relaxed and luxurious. Shots of Legend playing at the piano or lounging on the Kaye Sectional demonstrate the way this living room furniture collection sits at the intersection of high-brow design and ultimate tranquility, a familiar balance for the talented musician.
True to form, the curated furniture pieces feel like an extension of John Legend's California lifestyle. Made up of rounded edges, natural materials, and sumptuous textiles, they beckon a viewer to come in and have a seat in Legend's living room. The artful design of the pieces convey heirloom quality combined with an appealing casualness.
