Between selecting a great espresso maker and establishing a solid mug collection, coffee paraphernalia can take up a solid amount of kitchen real estate. In fact, for the coffee-lovers among us, a nook may even be in order.

Jennifer Aniston is providing inspiration and giving us some coffee corner ideas, which she shared via her Instagram. A marble counter houses her espresso machine and Nespresso milk frother, while a floating shelf features a variety of monochromatic mugs.

We've seen a steady rise in the cafecore trend – that is, a space in our kitchens that mimics a coffee shop – and Aniston's space is a great blueprint for those of us still working on creating the look in our own spaces.

According to experts, coffee corners are not only fantastic for their primary function, but can be great ways to make use of dead space.

'If you have an awkward alcove in your kitchen that you’re not sure what to do with, consider incorporating a coffee station,' says Sophie Clemson, interior designer at The Living House. 'You could have your kitchen units continued into the alcove or a free-standing sideboard. Place some floating shelves above to keep the space open, and style the shelves with aesthetically pleasing glass storage jars, framed prints, and coffee mugs for a stylish coffee station.'

Aniston's wall-to-wall, floating shelf is also great for lining up mugs horizontally rather than vertically, so they are easily accessible as well as easy to display. These shelves can also be used for other coffee-related accessories, such as frothers and sugar cube jars.

Make sure to keep the appliances you are using frequently within easy reach on a counter, but keep items like coffee bean bags stored in cabinets to minimize clutter. Alternatively, Aniston keeps coffee pods stored in a glass jar, which doubles as decor.

While counter space can definitely be a commodity in smaller kitchens, those of us with unused space can definitely take cues from Aniston and transform these areas into cafe-worthy corners.
