The best design for a child's room is an artful blend of personality, functionality, and storage. It's a space they can grow into. Jenna Dewan's daughter, Evie, has a room that perfectly strikes this balance.

The actress collaborated with Crate & Kids to design her vibrant kid's room. The space features a pink shiplap accent wall that complements the colors of Evie's bedding and the art on her walls. On one side of the bed, a cozy reading nook features wooden bookshelves and a plush, elevated beanbag chair. In front of the bed, a wooden desk is ideal for doing art projects or working on homework. Warming pink and natural decor elements bring the whole look together.

Designing children's bedrooms can be difficult, but the process for Evie's bedroom was seamless. Dewan tells Homes & Gardens: 'Evie just turned 11, and it was time to elevate her space and give her a more mature space with a big bed and lots of organization. Evie picked out the color scheme and asked for organization and shelving, and let us surprise her with the rest! The Crate & Kids Design Desk team took our dreams, learned about her personality, and ran with it. I was mindblown when we saw the new room – it was better than we could’ve even imagined!'

The first thing that stands out about this pink bedroom is how unique it is. Touches like a plush rug, a mountain of throw pillows, and the adorable gallery wall make the space feel hyper-personalized. It feels like a combination of all of the colors, patterns, and motifs that Evie loves in a sophisticated and intentional way. This uniqueness and personalization is essential for a space that will grow with the child.

In addition to showcasing her personality, Evie's space is a masterclass in organizing a kid's room. Clear shelves line the walls, providing space for storing toys for now, and clothes and books as she gets older. The desk, flanked by book shelves, is another striking example of how Dewan has designed the room to include all the storage Evie could ever need.
