Gwyneth Paltrow has this Wayfair daybed in her Montecito guesthouse (yes, really)
It's true, one of Gwyneth's most stylish pieces is shoppable via Wayfair right now – and for designers, it's a failsafe investment
Gwyneth Paltrow recently made headlines after listing her Montecito guesthouse for rent via Airbnb, but just when we were surprised enough, we noticed one of her statement furnishings comes from Wayfair.
The piece in question is a wicker sun lounger by Outsy, the artisan outdoor furniture company known for testing its products in the Florida sun – so you can rest assured it will withstand the elements for years ahead. The piece brings a retro, resort-style twist to Gwyneth's SoCal terrace – complete with a durable, chunky base and neutral cushion covers that complement the wicker exterior.
After passing its test in the Sunshine State, we're already assured that the chair will endure in terms of practicality – but designers say that its wicker aesthetic is equally as ageless.
'Wicker furniture has consistently remained popular. This timeless style is suitable for a range of environments, both indoor and outdoor,' says New York-based designer Artem Kropovinsky.
'One advantage of wicker is its adaptability. It complements various styles, from traditional to coastal to contemporary. And, of course, its durability and ability to withstand weather conditions make it an excellent option for outdoor furnishings.'
This extra-spacious chaise offers enough room for two people to stretch out and relax – whether by the poolside or a large terrace, as seen outside Gwyneth's guesthouse. It adds instant, unsurpassed luxury and comfort to any outdoor living space.
Beyond the terrace, a look inside Gwyneth Paltrow's Montecito guesthouse shows that she, too, is no stranger to some of our favorite coffee makers – specifically the Smeg Drip Coffee Maker and the Technivorm Moccamaster KBGV – seen atop her white marble countertops. Both of these kitchen appliances received top reviews from our resident coffee expert and trained barista, Laura Honey.
'I tested the Smeg Drip Coffee Maker a couple of months ago, and I loved it. It’s all retro-chrome and curvaceous design, everything that you would expect from Smeg (and so much more). I’d proudly display one on my countertop and, because it comes in a range of eight different colors, there’s one that would suit every style of kitchen,' Laura says.

The secret to her heart is simplicity in products, in style, and, of course, in your homes and gardens.
'Importantly, the Smeg coffee maker also brews a really smooth and well-balanced cup of filter coffee. You can program it to make a cup of coffee at the exact time that you wake up every morning. It’s every caffeinator’s dream.'
Similarly, the Technivorm Moccamaster KBGV Select is one of Laura's favorite drip coffee makers currently on the market. Aside from its inevitable style qualities (this is Gwyneth Paltrow-approved, after all), it also happens to make great coffee, too.
'It’s actually one of only a few machines that meet the Speciality Coffee Associations standards for the Golden Cup. Even though it’s expensive, it’s a worthwhile investment,' Laura comments.
'You’d be forgiven for thinking that these details will make the Moccasmaster complex and tricky to use, but it’s remarkably simple and extremely quiet, and that’s only the beginning of why I love it.'
