‘It’s kind of like the North Pole except way more chic’ – Goop's holiday gift guide includes one of Gwyneth Paltrow's favorite things
The best holiday gift guides are Gwyneth Paltrow-approved – here are our top picks from her 2023 selection
We're at the inevitable point of the calendar where celebrities and brands alike share the gifts topping their wishlists, and among them is none other than Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop.
The lifestyle empire followed hot in Oprah's heels and recently shared their picks for 2023 as we edge ever closer to the holiday season – and, of course, it includes many Gwyneth-approved buys that will impress long beyond the holiday season.
Among their top picks are a Gatsby-inspired martini glass, a delicate oil candle, and some non-stick frying pans that, Gwyneth says, are part of the 'best cookware ever.'
'It's kind of like the North Pole except way more chic,' the founder previously shared while discussing how Goop brings their gift guides to life. The process includes lab testing time to ensure the gifts are good enough to be Goop-approved and time with an expert panel, which previously included Cameron Diaz, naturally.
Our top picks from Goop's 2023 gift guide
Goop's gift guide comprises ten specific categories, but the 'Cook's Gift Guide' and the 'Host's Gift Guide,' both of which we scouted for our six top picks. They're all shopable via Goop below.
Bowl
We love the handmade finish to this stoneware bowl, finished in a drippy matte white glaze that’s intentionally imperfect. This unique finish is chic but laid-back – the perfect addition to any coffee table or bookshelf (where we can beautifully store our favorite things).
Diffuser
Described as a 'woodsily romantic, supremely French scent,' Bois de Balincourt pays homage to its founder’s ancestral forest home. The aroma is a mix of sandalwood, cedar, vetiver, cinnamon, and an earthy hint of nutmeg.
Cookware
This set includes one five-quart casserole dish with a handled glass lid, one three-quart sauté pan with a handled glass lid, two open frypans (eight-inch and eleven-inch), and two saucepans (two-quart and three-quart) that each come with a handled glass lid.
Martini Glasses
Hailing from British designer Richard Brendon's London studio, these exquisite table glasses bring at hint of Art Deco glamor to any party (no matter how intimate). We'd like to think that if Gatsby shopped Goop's gift guide, these would be his pick.
Candle
Handblown in California from durable borosilicate glass, this candle is an ornate addition to any tablescape, set to stand as a talking point over the holiday season and far beyond. We can use it as an oil lamp, singly or in a group of similar glass pieces.
Oven
This multi-purpose oven is almost too versatile to be true. It has options to bake, roast, toast, reheat, and air-fry, and it comes with steam-infusion technology – the secret to a perfectly cooked finish. We love its quirky retro design and this 'spice' colorway that sets it aside from other ovens.
Sure, these make great 'gifts', but we wouldn't judge if you want to pick up some of these picks for yourself, too. It's surely what Gwyneth Paltrow would intend, after all, and we're not about to argue with that.
