Colorless Christmas trees are on the rise this year, with the 'naked tree' taking over our social media feeds. Considering Fredrik Eklund, star of Million Dollar Listing New York, is quite the interior design expert, it is no surprise that he has averted from color on his tree and instead gone for a chic, neutral, yet festive appearance.

In a post shared to his Instagram page, we can see the reality TV star has opted for a sleek green Christmas tree lined with white lights, and giant, pearlescent baubles in silver and cream shades.

The volume of the baubles and the sheen of the metallics add visual interest to the tree despite its lack of color. Additionally, the white lights are complementary against the neutral ornaments while illuminating the classic green branches beautifully.

Another lesson we can take from Fredrik Eklund? To bring our tree to our entryway. 'While the Christmas tree is often pictured in the living room (and there's certainly no harm in having two), Eklund's set-up reminds us why decorating the first room of the home is equally as important,' comments Megan Slack, the head of celebrity news at Homes & Gardens.

'Since Eklund is an estate agent, he is likely all too aware of the importance of a well-dressed entryway at every point of the calendar – but the holidays really give us the opportunity to get playful. Whether you're selling your home or simpy want to make a lasting first impression on your guests this December, his Christmas decorations remind us that this space should never go overlooked.'
