Eva Longoria's kitchen lighting pendants tap into one of 2025's most atmospheric trends – designers say they have a rare, vintage flair
The actress has colorful glass lighting pendants hanging over her marble kitchen island, aligning with the expert-approved, retro-inspired trend
Kitchen lighting is arguably one of the most important features of this communal room. As a space where we come to to cook, dine, entertain, light fixtures are a not only important for their functional capabilities, but as decorative accents, particularly in minimalist spaces.
It just so happens that Eva Longoria's kitchen light pendants tap into one of the biggest lighting trends for 2025. Her sleek, modern kitchen includes unpainted, wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and white walls; however, her pendants make a statement over her marble kitchen island thanks to a tuliped shape, glass material, and gold, blue, and clear color scheme.
The glass especially gives the contemporary space a more vintage feel, which experts say is on the rise this year.

Vintage-inspired decor is always a yes in our books, but for the upcoming year, expect to see lighting fixtures taking cues from the decades of yore.
'Retro styles have proved to be popular in 2024 and in 2025 we’re expecting to see more shapes and styles with vintage flair,' says Ally Dowsing-Reynolds, co-founder and lighting expert from Dowsing & Reynolds. 'For example, lighting styles with subtle details such as ribbed glass adds a certain timeless charm into room designs.'
While Longoria's glass pendants have a tuliped shape and wavy texture, Dowsing-Reynolds says that antique and fluted glass is one of the top designs to watch out for.
'Ribbed glass has a charming appeal that evokes a sense of nostalgia, adding a classic touch to any space and its interesting pattern and texture helps to create a captivating projection of light onto walls,' she explains. 'I’d recommend investing in a ribbed glass pendant that hangs above a dining table or kitchen island. This will create a focal point in your dining room or kitchen and will add a touch of vintage glamour to your home.'

The placement of Longoria's fixture is in line with Dowsing-Reynolds' suggestion, hanging in the middle of her island and thus allowing it to be a major focal point in the area. As with all lighting fixtures, ensure they are installed securely and leave adequate headspace.

This long, hanging, blown glass pendants can be used all together or one at a time to create different looks.
Try experimenting with different colored pendants – we have been seeing primary colors trending, so along with blue we suggest a bold red or a sunny yellow to brighten up a minimalist kitchen.
