Drew Barrymore has made a gorgeous, '70s-inspired accent chair – and it's hiding on Walmart for under $250
Barrymore's Beautiful line is full of affordable and stylish furnishings, and our latest fixation is a butterscotch accent chair – it's our favorite staple of the season
A stylish accent chair can completely transform a space. From color to fabric to silhouette, a statement seat is a powerful piece of furniture with the ability to draw visual interest to one corner of a room.
Having said all of this, when we got wind of a stunning accent chair at a great price point, we became very tempted. Why? Because it comes from one of our favorite Hollywood stars – and a stand-out celebrity line.
We are talking about the Teddy Accent Chair from Drew Barrymore's Beautiful line, which is only $249.00. Having established her homeware and accessories line in March 2021, we trust Barrymore's collection of stylish yet affordable products, and this new sofa may just be our new favorite. Its deep mustard hues and curvaceous shape tap into the retro style trend that has gained momentum over recent years – and with pieces this affordable, its a sign that this look isn't set to waver.
The ideal accent seat, in our opinion. Soft but sturdy, in a gorgeous, burnt-orange meets brown hue, the price is right on this piece of furniture. It's the most accessible way to tap into the retro trend and make a statement while doing so – and it's designed by Drew Barrymore, in case we need any more reason to make the investment.
There is so much to love about this accent chair, but we can't help but re-emphasize its colorway. The butterscotch hue is evocative of '70s modern decor, but its proximity to brown makes it an incredibly versatile color shade. 'When I first saw this chair, I said it was my favorite furnishing I've seen from any celebrity range this fall – and as we continue through the season, it remains true,' comments our Head of Celebrity Style News, Megan Slack.
The shearling fabric is also a highlight, evoking a soft, contemporary feel that is also extremely comfortable to sit on. There is even a removable accent pillow to add dimension and extra softness to the seat. 'I am looking for an excuse to bring this piece into my home, and, rest assured, I will do so before the season is out,' Slack adds.
Reminiscent of cult-favorite cloud chairs, the Teddy Accent Chair features solid wood construction, ensuring that it is a highly durable piece of furniture.
However, with all that said, we can't be all that surprised by the beauty of this piece. Barrymore is synonymous with uber-chic (yet affordable) furniture – trailblazed by her iconic Modular Sectional Sofa, also available at Walmart. Elegant
The perfect accent pillow: this piece features a lovingly embroidered intricate pattern designed to bring dimension to any couch, armchair, or bed. We love its subtle colorway almost as much as the pattern, as this soft green hue pairs well with neutrals while balancing any bolder tones.
