With the rejection of greige minimalism in 2025, design aficionados are left wondering, what will neutral interiors that aren't boring look like? The humble stripe would like a word. This understated pattern is simple and undisruptive, while also adding a touch of personality to any space where it is used. Drew Barrymore's latest Walmart Drop, the Beautiful Stripe Accent Chair, is the perfect way to incorporate it.

Barrymore's Beautiful line has been one of our favorite celebrity home decor collections since its inception, and the newest addition has just increased our love. The sculptural chair balances curved and straight lines, for a narrow shape that could fit into the tightest corner. It's patterned with cream and gray stripes for a design that is interesting, yet unobtrusive, as is the superpower of this pattern. Best of all, it's under $200.

Although stripes are a current interior design trend, they are guaranteed not to fade in popularity anytime soon. Sophia Ayrton-Grime, interior designer at Atelier Raff explains: 'One of the greatest strengths of stripes is their ability to layer beautifully with other patterns. They can add structure when paired with florals or soften the look of geometric designs, making them an indispensable tool in any decorator's arsenal. Stripes also strike the perfect balance between simplicity and impact, making them an iconic design that will never go out of style.'

The versatility of stripes makes styling the accent chair excessively easy. In other words, it could easily match with a variety of patterns and colors. Personally, I would love to see the chair with a brightly colored, solid cushion, beside other neutral couches on top of a heavily patterned rug. There is something satisfying about bright colors against neutral stripes that I can't get enough of. As the trend continues to grow, I hope to see more of this in 2025.

The beauty of Drew Barrymore's latest chair is evidence to never again underestimate the simple stripe. They may be unassuming, but they can have a huge impact.
