Chrissy Teigen uses this blanket every single day of the year – I've owned it for one week, and I can already see why it's consistently a celeb-favorite
Kate Hudson, Hailey Bieber, and Jennifer Garner are among the celebrities who have sported this ultra-soft blanket – after only one week, I understand the hype
It's hard to find a product as endorsed among celebrities as the Barefoot Dreams blanket. Chrissy Teigen first drew my attention to the ultra-soft throw in 2019 when she announced that she uses hers every day of the year. 'I use mine 365. It stretches and wraps over your shoulders and feet, and nothing else compares,' she shared via X (then Twitter).
Since then, a series of equally admirable figures – including the likes of Hailey Bieber, Jennifer Garner, and Kate Hudson – have similarly sported the iconic 'CozyChic' model in the wild. As a celebrity style editor, I realized it was inevitably time to try and understand the appeal, and it didn't take long to draw a conclusion. After only one week, I never want to be without it in my bedroom.
The Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw (currently reduced on Amazon) offers celebrity-approved luxury and quality at a somewhat accessible price tag. The $138 price tag (for a limited time) is an investment, but it leaves you with one of the best throw blankets on the market – both in terms of its versatility and its unrivaled softness.
The CozyChic Throw comes in a series of colors (I have the Dove Gray tone), but they're all as soft as one another. The brand's unique fabrication, made from 100% polyester, promises warmth and coziness in the bedroom, living room, or on an airplane, train, or car journey. Plus, it's machine washable, so you don't need to worry about spills (as someone who consistently spills my coffee, this was the most welcome news).
In my bedroom, I try to keep hues muted and neutral – and the Dove Gray colorway complements my palette perfectly. It's darker than the usual tones on and around my bed, but it doesn't overpower the space.
If you're worried about how this gray will look in your room then don't be. Few people are as pedantic about overcrowding a room with color as I am, and I love seeing it on top of my comforter. Beyond its aesthetics, however, this throw excels in its comforting texture.
If, like me, you already struggle to get up in the morning, I will warn you that it'll make it even worse.
The combination of London's dark winter days with the recent introduction of the CozyChic Throw means it's even harder to part with my bed in the AM, but the comfort of the throw upon returning on an evening makes the struggle worth it. You've been warned, however. It feels like you're wrapped in a cozy cloud – something that's not always as evident with other throws I've tried. The one-of-a-kind fabric means it's warming without feeling too heavy – making it clear why celebrities return to the weave time and time again.

I can't yet speak for how I'll use my blanket when the climate warms up, but if Teigen and Bieber's lead is anything to follow, it may see life beyond my bedroom in my car or airplane. What's better than a hotel room with a hint of home comfort, after all?

Hailey Bieber's Throw
This bolder wild throw blanket is an exact match to the one I spotted Hailey Bieber carrying as she entered her car. This eclectic alternative to my more muted gray throw is perfect for the more maximalist lovers among us – perfect for spreading across an accent chair or a beautiful green or orange sofa.
Most accessible option
Just like the classic Cozychic blanket – only slightly smaller, this rib trim blanket offers yet more texture and interest to your bedroom. It's the pefect starting blanket if you want to experiment with this celeb-approved brand for an even more accsessible price tag (and today, it's cheaper than ever before).
Subtle pattern
Another perfect solution for people who love neutrals, but still want to add interest to a room. This stripe throw has a toned-down colorway, but just the right amount of pattern to provoke a conversation. It'd look particularly beautiful on an all-white bed or dark leather sofa.
